Did you guys know that today is National Dessert Day?? It’s basically, umm, one of the best days of the year if you ask me.
To celebrate, I have every intention of going and indulging in something sweet and delicious (perhaps more than once). And I also thought it would be fun to put together a list of some of my all-time favorite dessert recipes. Some are from Yours Truly, and some aren’t, but I promise you that they’re ALL amazing!
Courtney’s Apple Crisp – this is my go-to, absolute favorite apple crisp recipe that I’ve been using for years!
Creamy (Eat-With-Anything) Fruit Dip – seriously, just eat it with anything. It’s SO GOOD.
Chocolate Layer Cake from Prime Bar & Grill – we first had this dessert back in 2012, and to this day, it still stands near the top of my list. It. was. incredible.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip via How Sweet Eats – I’ve made this numerous times (her pics are better than mine!) and it never disappoints.
The Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars -no other words needed
Funfetti Cake Bites – I only ate these once but they’re still engrained in my memory. I MUST make them.
Cookies & Cream Cake Mix Cookie Bars – this recipe is SO. OLD. and it seriously needs some better pictures, but I couldn’t not include it because they’re just delicious (and are WAY better than they photograph here!).
Neapolitan Cupcakes with Ice Cream Frosting – this is my #1 requested recipe from Jay’s co-workers!
Double Chocolate Nutella Cupcakes – (and this is my recent #1 requested recipe from MY co-workers!)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake – I’ve never been a huge fan of store-bought ice cream cakes, but ever since my friend Andrea started making these, they’ve been one of my favorite kinds of cake. Especially when it’s made with cookie dough ice cream. J
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes – this is probably one of my least favorite recipes to make (just because they’re a little more time consuming) but they are probably my favorite cupcake of mine. (Oh, and we can add this one to the list of super old recipes that need more updating!)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups with Almond Buttercream Frosting –I could eat 500 of these and still want more. They are incredible.
Godiva Crème Brulee Dessert Truffles – A co-worker of mine recently shared one of these with me, and I swear, I would have eaten the whole bag if I had access to it. These things were insaaaaaanely good!
Stewart’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream – it’s an obsession I don’t think I’ll ever, EVER give up.
Chocolate Raspberry Bars – these almost didn’t make the list, but Jay told me that I had to add it because they’re some of his favorites.
How about you guys? What is one of your all-time FAVORITE desserts?!?
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
WHAT?! I feel like you just gave me an excuse to eat dessert ALL DAY! ;) I love ice cream and cookies and cake! Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately since it does limit my options and consumption), I can only do dairy-free, gluten-free options thanks to some food allergies but MAN, I do love me a good dessert.

Yum! These recipes all sound incredible! One of my all-time favorite desserts to indulge in is definitely cheesecake. I like a classic, traditional cheesecake topped with either cherries or strawberries!
Britt@MyOwnBalance says
I’m so boring. I NEVER make dessert. We just have a piece of chocolate or maybe some ice cream and call it a day. I don’t bake .
Linz @ Itz Linz says
omg these all look amazing and you know i’m a sucker for your desserts!!
Erin says
YUMMM these all look amazing. I picked up those Godiva Truffles to put in my cart the other day then stopped because they looked way too dangerous. I want to try just one but I know I will have NO self control if I buy that whole bag!
Melissa @ Freeing Imperfections says
Can I come to your house and have a sample of ALL of these please? Holy delicious! One of my favorite desserts is pumpkin cheesecake that I make every Thanksgiving. To die for!
Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona says
My favorite dessert is fresh berry pound cake. It’s simple and classic but so amazingly delicious.
Jamie says
Holy cow… funfetti cake bites. Yes please!

So funny – I almost did a post like this in honor of National Dessert Day. And then I realized I have way too many “favorites” haha and I really couldn’t pick. Some of my favorites are Max & Erma’s chocolate chip cookies, Mitchell’s Ocean Club’s warm butter cake, and ice cream. But there are way more ;)

I’m drooling at my desk now. My sweet tooth is my weakness and these all look amazing. My favorite dessert is probably homemade chocolate chip cookies (and the dough) or a delicious iced cookie. But a moist cupcake with excellent icing is always a contender.

I love ice cream and anything Funfetti. As a kid my favorite was an ice cream flavor at our local scoop shop that was called Carnival and was rather funfetti-like – it was vanilla with M&Ms, PB cups, cookie bits and sprinkles! Since I had my Celiac diagnosis I can partake no longer, but I’ll always have fond taste memories :)

Wow! So many delicious desserts!
Julia @ Lord Still Loves Me says
Thanks for the heads up on national dessert day! I’m now off to plan how I am going to celebrate it. I’m thinking it may need to include a brownie of some sort…

I just had dinner and thought about going to bed without breakfast (for ONCE) but then I made the mistake of catching up on my favorite blogs and now my sweet tooth is RAGING! THANKS A LOT COURTNEY! haha! :D
Katrina says
did I say “without breakfast”? The word is out. I eat breakfast after dinner. (Although technically true, who doesn’t?) ;)

Yummers!
I can always be won over with an ice cream cone, but my all time fav dessert is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, it never gets old!

I recently made your chocolate raspberry bars for a bake sale at work and they were a huge hit. People were RAVING about them. Thanks so much for the recipe. I will be keeping it on hand for my Christmas baking.
