Feelin' Anxious

by Courtney on April 28, 2010

“PRRRRRR…..PRRRRR”

Those were the first sounds of my morning, thanks to Cody coming to give me my wake up call!  I swear I heard, “Good Morning, Mom” ;)

He was having quite a fun time hangin’ out with Mom & Dad last night! :)

After my wake up call, it was time for a workout.  My legs and hips were pretty tight this morning, so I decided to pass on the running and do my favorite walking treadmill intervals.  I found this program probably over a year ago now, when it was posted on Tina’s blog.  I have been using it on and off ever since, and I love it!

While walkin’ my intervals, I was able to do a little reading of my new book I bought over the weekend.  Right now, things are pretty scientific and can be a little tough to follow.  I found my mind wandering quite a few times…like “what should I have for breakfast”? :)

Well I already knew that answer…Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal!  This stuff was fannnnTAStic!

Today’s bowl:

- 1/3 cup oats

- 1/3 cup light vanilla soy milk

- 1/3 cup water

- 1 small sliced banana

- 2-3 tbsp raisins (regular and golden)

- lots ‘o cinnamon!

My oats were topped with a little granola and a scoop of Blizzard Butter. Scrumptious.

I’m planning a Starbucks trip later today, so I figured I’d start a little early with my snazzy Starbucks mug (a.k.a., my new favorite oats bowl, since my old favorite one broke and has yet to be replaced!)

Today is a BIG DAY for Jay and I, and I’m feeling a little bit anxious…I’ll fill you all in later today! :)

Props to you for trying to be more mindful! I know, it can definitely be a struggle. I will be sure to continue to give opinions of the book as I get through the different sections of it, so keep checking back! :)
