I really love starting my day with a good workout. It keeps me energized, happy, and feeling like I’ve started my day off on the right foot. I really believe that it helps play a part in making good eating decisions. Overall, it just keeps me feeling healthy, so I figure why not carry that all throughout my day, right?
This morning started off on “the right foot” with a 30 minute treadmill workout. I wasn’t in the mood to run the full time, so I swapped to a walk/run combo today:
2 minutes walking @ 4.5 mph + 4.5-7.0 incline
1 minute running @ 7.8 mph
It was great! I loved adding in the fast-paced walk with the incline – it totally make you feel your glutes a lot more! 😉
After showering and getting ready, it was time for breakfast (aka, the best part of the morning)
Apple Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal today! 😀
Today, folks, we have:
-1/3 cup oats
-1/3 cup light vanilla soy milk
-1/3 cup water
-1/2 smashed banana
-1/4 cup chopped apples
-Cinnamon & Nutmeg
Adding the apples gives the oats such a different flavor…I should really do it more often!
All topped off with a sprinkle of granola & a scoop of Maple PB. YUMM!! 😛
So, it’s been a little over a month now that I’ve started “Sweet Tooth”. Crazy! I’m loving EVERY.MINUTE of it too 😀
