Still Stuffed

Last night was another HOT one for sleeping!  Luckily, things are “cooling off” today, and we’re getting back down to the mid 80’s. 😉  While getting ready for bed last night, a big thunderstorm came rolling through…how psyched was I?!?  I LOVE thunderstorms!  Jay and I actually ended up sitting in the living room for quite a while just watching through our big bay window in the living room.  I find them so fascinating, really. 

When I was in elementary school my house actually got struck by lightning.  We had some damage, nothing major, but it was quite the event!

During the middle of the night, I was woken up by ANOTHER storm that rolled through…that one I didn’t enjoy so much…don’t wake me from my sleep when I’ve got to get up early in the morning!! 😉

By the time I woke up this morning, I was still feeling pretty stuffed & sluggish from last night’s feast.  I think I have a pasta hangover! 😳  I knew I still needed to eat something this morning, so I went for something light and fruity…it was SMOOTHIE time! 😀

Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie

-1 large frozen banana, sliced

-1/2 -3/4 c. frozen strawberries (I didn’t measure)

-1/2 cup light vanilla soy milk

-1/2 scoop strawberry whey protein powder

-splash H2o

This baby was SUUUUPER thick today – I almost couldn’t drink it through the straw. :)

I also made a batch of iced coffee this morning that turned out REALLY good, so I’m a happy camper!

I wonder if people will think I’m a coffee addict walking into work today with two mugs? 😉

Later today, I’m going to try to answer a few more questions that have taken me a little more time to come up with answers for.  But feel free to keep ’em comin!!
