I’ve officially come to the conclusion that garage sales just stink.
I mean, I suppose they’re alright when you’re actually getting customers and making some money. But when you wake up bright and early on a Saturday morning, (after having a few beers the night before ;) ) just to drag yourself outside for one customer who buys something for fifty cents in the first hour and a half…well that’s just plain discouraging.
So what the heck do you do during all that down time?……
You take a little nap. :-D
And then you realize it might be kind of tough to sell the items you’re napping on…
So you get up and make yourself a delicious breakfast!
This was one fantastic Pumpkin Oatmeal bowl. :-P
- 1/3 cup oats
- 1/3 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup pumpkin
- 1/2 mashed banana
- raisins
- 1/2 slice crumbled Cinnamon Date Manna Bread (<—never thought to add it into the oats mixture, but SO GLAD I did. Awesome texture addition!)
- cinnamon
- pumpkin pie spice
Topping: the other 1/2 of my last slice of Manna Bread, a sprinkle of granola, and some Maple PB.
Along with my oats, I’m sipping on a delicious mug of Almond Amaretto coffee. This flavor seriously gives my Pumpkin Spice a run for its money…it’s GOOOOD.
This right here, my friends, totally makes up for having to be up for this garage sale.
And hey, it’s a beautiful fall morning! So at least I get to enjoy that, spend some time with the hubby, and catch up on a little blog reading! :)
P.S. – Thank you all for your congratulations yesterday on the cupcakes! I’m really excited about it all. :-D
Question for the Morning:
What are YOU doing on this fine Saturday morning???

Aw, hope the garage sale gets better. I would so go if I lived around the area. At least the pumpkin oats were there to brighten up your day!

Well the good news is that you started off your day with a very yummy looking breakfast that I’m just going to have to make this week. Plus, you have access to your computer during the sale. :)
Garage sales are hard work and unpredictable. Let’s hope you have a big swarm of people come through anytime now who want to buy out everything you have at full price. Then, you can pack it up.
Seriously, hope you do well today.

I hate running garage sales too. Not very fruitful most of the time. That does look like one fabulous bowl o’ oats though!

I’m working today. Saturdays are busy in the salon world and boy I’ve been there with garage sales.
