We Danced Our Faces off

Oh, what a fun night!

Jay and I had plans to go see a movie last night, but when we found out that a bunch of our friends were getting together at Sarah & Jeff’s house, we decided to postpone the movie and head over for the action…

Some Dance Party action!! Smile with tongue out

Our friend Andrea brought over the game Just Dance 2 for the Wii, and we all definitely danced our faces off. Winking smile

I even went against Jay a couple times…I dominated him the first time, but he actually came “this close” to beating me the second time with Katy Perry’s “Firework” song. Luckily, I brought my A-game. Smile

And I already told Jay that we need to go out and buy this game for our Wii. Like, today. I’m addicted!

I don’t think my little “nephew” Tram was quite sure how to react with a bunch of 20- & 30-somethings dancing around like rock stars. Rolling on the floor laughing

As I mentioned yesterday, I also had a little camera shopping that needed to be done. And the winner was…..

Basically, the same camera I had before!

I decided to go with the Canon Powershot SD1400 IS, which is pretty much just an updated model of my previous one. I bought it from Best Buy, who was actually having a pretty good deal on a “bundle” package, so I also snagged an extra battery, memory card, and carrying case.

Hopefully the carrying case will keep this one from looking a little less like the last one… Winking smile

To be honest, it was actually a little hard to be excited about this camera, since I’ve really been trying to save up for a DSLR. However, I knew that if I only have one camera, it would be more practical to have the point and shoot. So I’ll just continue to save my pennies until I can get the one I really want.

I also did a little clothes shopping yesterday, too, so of course I’ll share!

I’ve been in the market for some new dress pants, so I picked up a couple pairs from The Limited. Basic black and grey, nice and versatile.

(**FYI: The Limited is having a great sale: 40% off all pants until today only.**)

(*Another FYI: If you’re a teacher or a student, you get an extra 15% off with proof!*)

I really fell in love with these grey, wide leg tweed pants, which were even on the sale rack. I’m kind of picky about waistbands on dress pants, but these were rockin’.

Also rockin’ on the sale rack? This adorable dress!

I really have no idea what I’ll wear it for, but when Jay gave me the “Wow, I really like that dress on you” reaction, rather than the “Ok, that’s nice, can we get out of here” reaction, I was already sold.

He says we’ll “find a reason” for me to wear it somewhere. I like the way he thinks. Open-mouthed smile

Now it’s time to go make some breakfast and do a little baking!

Question for the Day:

Do you enjoy playing video games at all? What do you like to play?

LOVE that dress! It’s gorgeous! And the camera looks good too! I know what you mean about wanting a DSLR, but I want something I’d be able to fit in my purse anyway, and they’re just too big! Not to mention super pricey! 😛

Oh man, video games are the BEST! Especially Wii ones! As a kid though I was totally addicted to playing Mario games on my GameBoy! The BEST way to spend your childhood! 😀

I haven’t played any of those Dance Off games…yet..but I hear they are so much fun :) Looks like you guys both had a good night!
And, that’s the camera I just got for my birthday- I got the orange one :) I’m still trying to save up for a DSLR camera too. They are just so expensive!
I will get one some day- hopefully within the year! It would be nice to have one for the wedding & honeymoon..but I don’t think it will happen. Other things to spend money on right now- like all of the wedding stuff :)
Hope you have a good Sunday- are you rooting on the Packers??

I really enjoy playing some of the Wii games that get you up and moving! I haven’t tried the Just Dance one yet though. Those grey pants are really nice…I love the Limited! Too bad I don’t get a discount…not a teacher or student!

I got the first Just Dance last week and absoutely love it! Now I want to go get the second one. It can be a fun workout too. I am reminded of why I was in such better shape when I went to the club dancing 2 or 3 times a week, lol
