Hey friends! Tonight, Jay and I have a softball game under the lights (Oooooo!), so I whipped up a no-fuss dinner before we head out the door.
We still have some salad leftover from last night’s dinner, so I portioned out a little of that with a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette.
I also made myself a ham & cheese wrap, made with a whole grain La Tortilla Factory wrap, 3 thin slices of deli ham (I know it looks like a lot more than that in the picture), a wedge of The Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese, lettuce, bread & butter pickles, and a tiny smear of Gar La La, which totally made the wrap.
Along with dinner, I sipped on some of this lemon iced tea, which actually brings me to the rest of this post!
I was recently given the opportunity to review a new line of iced teas from Lipton.
To be honest, it had been quite a while since I’ve had bottled iced teas; when I was in high school, I was completely addicted to diet green iced tea, and probably drank at least one to two bottles a day.
I was a little extreme, no?
So needless to say, iced tea had pretty much worn out its welcome. But, since high school has been over for almost 10 years now (GASP!) I welcomed the opportunity to give the Lipton iced teas a try.
The 100% Natural Lipton Iced Tea line features an all-natural ingredient list, with 50-70 calories per serving, depending on the flavor. It is available in four flavors, including two current and two new:
- Green Tea with Citrus
- Iced Tea with Lemon
- Iced Tea with Blueberry Pomegranate (*New)
- Green Tea with Passionfruit Mango (*New)
They’ve also expanded their line of naturally flavored and preservative-free, zero calorie diet iced tea flavors:
- Diet Green Tea with Citrus
- Diet Green Tea with Watermelon
So when I first received my iced teas, I immediately dug into the Diet Green Tea with Watermelon.
Even though it did have somewhat of a “diet” taste to it, the delicate flavor of green tea paired with just a hint of watermelon was really light and refreshing. It was perfect for sipping outside, which I actually did over the Memorial Day weekend. It was probably my favorite of the diet flavors.
The Diet Green Tea with Citrus was also refreshing, but didn’t offer much of anything different from a regular diet green tea.
Creeper also wanted in on the action…
Jay and I both took a stab at taste-testing the remaining four flavors that I was sent to try, which we both ended up being in agreement on for most of them:
Green Tea with Citrus
Hints of lemon and citrus, and a bit sweeter from the diet version (obviously). We both liked it but didn’t love it.
Iced Tea with Lemon
I’ve always been a fan of black tea, so this was another good one. I liked that the lemon was prominent enough but not overpowering.
Iced Tea with Blueberry Pomegranate
I reeeeally enjoyed the flavors of the blueberry and pomegranate in this tea, but they were probably too sweet for me to enjoy a whole bottle’s worth. That’s probably because I’m so used to drinking diet though, I’m sure.
Green Tea with Passionfruit Mango
This tea was probably my favorite out of the four non-diet flavors. I loved the tropical flavors, which immediately made me think of summer. I’ll bet it’d probably be really good with my beloved Malibu rum, too.
To celebrate the launch of their new line of iced teas, Lipton has also partnered up with Pandora.com to give tea drinkers a chance to experience “The Natural Side of Music.” According to Mary Barnard, Vice President and General Manager of the Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership,
“We created 100% Natural Lipton Iced Tea because we believe that the ultimate iced tea refreshment starts with great tea and simple, natural ingredients. You could say the same is true with an acoustic performance that showcases the raw and natural talent of a musical artist. PANDORA internet radio is a great partner for this summer-long program that encourages consumers to express individuality through their tea and music preferences.”
The stations available include:
- Lipton Pop (Pandora.com/liptonpop)
- Lipton Country (Pandora.com/liptoncountry)
- Lipton Rock (Pandora.com/liptonrock)
- Lipton Hip-Hop (Pandora.com/liptonhiphop)

Time to head to softball…let’s hope for another win!
Question for the Evening:
Do you enjoy drinking iced tea? What’s your favorite flavor?
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Gen-Yknot on behalf of Lipton and received Lipton product samples and a subscription to Pandora One to facilitate my candid review. Gen-Yknot also sent me a promotional item to thank me for my time.

The watermelon tea looks like something I’d like to try. I love diet iced green tea. SO good on a summer day
Courtney @ The Granola Chronicles says
I used to be obsessed with Lipton Green Tea during my freshman year at college – in fact, all the girls in my sorority were super obsessed! I don’t think I’ve had Lipton for like five years…but these new flavors sound great.
Hope you had a great weekend, Courtney! :)

I’m not a really big fan of iced tea, but this year I started drinking green tea quite frequently. I am now drinking it once a day, but I’m considering starting to drink iced tea because it’s starting to get a little too warm for a cup of tea in the morning. If I would try one, I think I would definitely try the diet watermelon one!

I loooove getting unsweetened iced green tea from starbucks! Soo refreshing!!

You have NOT been out of high school for 10 years – seriously? For real? Nu uh I won’t believe it.
I need to take pictures and get my lipton post ready!
Courtney says
Well, 9…I counted wrong…but still. Nine whole years!!!

They werE sampling these at my food store this weekend! I grabbed the passionfruit mango sample bc hello what is more amazing than mango flavored anything?! I took one sip and bought a bottle right there. I never drink juice or sweetened teas, but this was so refreshing and not too sweet. I split it into too servings and it was just enough each time. Really good and perfect for summer!

I love me some good, old fashioned iced tea but, if I’m going to drink a bottled tea, I have to say I love the Arizona Iced Tea family. My all time favorite is their Pomegranate Green Tea, followed by their original flavor, then their green tea and honey. Mmmm, drinking some Pomegranate right now.
Lindsey says
I used to enjoy the sugary kinds but now I like to brew plain old green tea, chill it then add some lemon juice – it is so refreshing and a change from water!
That mango flavored one sounds amazing… loving mangoes right now :)
Jenny (Fit Girl Foodie) says
Those ham and cheese wraps look delicious! I love laughing cow cheeses on just about anything :D And I haven’t tried those Lipton iced teas but they definitely look delicious. I’ve seen them in a lot of blogs now :)
Emmarie says
Ooh, I’m loving your idea of mixing the passion fruit, mango one with Malibu. Sounds delish!
Melissa says
I’m not a fan of bottled iced tea at all. I like unsweetened sun tea brewed . . . where else? in the sunshine! My mom makes the best, but really all she does is put the pitcher out in the sun for a few hours to brew and then serves it over ice. Simple!
Katelyn @ Chef Katelyn says
Your photography is SO beautiful mahdear!! I got an offer from Lipton about these too, but I was so skeptical about sugar/weird ingredients — I’m glad they weren’t too bad!!
Jen M. says
I go through the big boxes of Lipton’s regular black tea bags like they are going out of business! I don’t usually drink bottled tea though — I like mine plain, or just black tea with a couple flavored tea bags like mint or lemon or peach or something. Not sweetened. I would LOVE trying a black tea with watermelon juice in it though, they should make that next!
Kara says
Thanks for being so honest about what you have received in compensation for this post! Your review sounds very honest and it makes me that much more interested in the product. The watermelon juice sounds awesome!
Lynny says
Good to see that they have the natural tea line now, their original one had so much junk and sugar in it!! I won’t be trying it though, just because I am not much of a tea drinker. Those wraps look good by the way!
Krissie J says
Scott loves Wawa’s lemon iced tea, but we dilute it with water because it’s way too sweet out of the jug. So cool you got free samples! I think the pomegranate blueberry would’ve been my favorite.
Julia says
I love Lipton’s Green Tea, but I only have it on occasion. My sister on the other hand could drink it all day long and as often as she can haha.
Jen says
Love, love, LOVE iced tea! I would say it is (next to water) my favorite non-alcoholic beverage (also great WITH alcohol, a la my Ice Picks!). My boyfriend likes the Lipton Citrus and also the Lipton white tea with raspberry. They are both good but the Passionfruit Mango was my favorite too!
Liz @ iheartvegetables says
I’m SO jealous! I am a lipton green tea fanatic!!! I love the diet citrus flavor. Now I need to go try those new flavors! I’m so excited!
Khushboo says
Ironically I drink hot tea like it’s my job but cannot stand iced tea- never been a fan ! Thanks for an honest review!
Charlie says
The watermelon tea sounds delicious! I was definitely addicted to iced tea in high school too :P. Now I’m addicted to TEA. But I do indulge sometimes in a apple juice sweetened iced green tea (equi-t) I love when I go to the supermarket that sells it :).
Lisa says
I love green tea!! The watermelon kind sounds really good too!
Ashley @ Healthy Life For Me says
I like to drink iced unsweetened red diamond tea. I want to try iced green tea, but I never seem to be in the mood to do so…Maybe I’ll try it soon ;)
Nicole @sugarcoatedsisters says
I love iced tea, but I’m more of a Snapple girl to be honest! I love Lipton’s hot green tea flavors “Goji Raspberry” and “Mixed Berry”. For iced tea, Diet Peach Snapple will always win in my heart :)
Grace says
I’ve been seeing these giveaways everywhere:) So you would think I’d win one sooner or later…I love iced tea my favorite is lightly sweetened with agave strawberry black tea!
Laura says
i loooooooooooooove anything to do with mango & passionfruit, i’d have tried it firstly.
Hope says
I love iced tea! I am a big fan of unsweetened green tea! I drink it every afternoon at work. I’m hooked. It’s so refreshing! :) I definitely want to try those teas! They look great!
Oh, I totally know what you mean about high school! I’ve been out 9 years. I can’t believe next summer will be my 10 year reunion. Where has the time gone?!
Courtney says
It’s CRAZY!!
Kristen says
Im not big on tea…I should try it again. Especially with yummy flavors like this!
I have a question: do you and Jay eat the same thing?
Courtney says
Probably 75% of the time, yes. But last night, for example, he ate something totally different since dinner was informal, we had a softball game, and he also had a big chicken parm panini for lunch…which he forgot to save some extras of for me. ;)
