I Am In Big Trouble

This afternoon after I got out of work, I headed to the grocery store to pick up some necessities for tonight’s dinner. When I asked Jay this morning if he was craving anything in particular for tonight, I got a response of “chicken.”

Hmmph. But hey, I guess it’s better than the usual, “Oh, I don’t know. What do you feel like having?”

So I decided this afternoon that I’d go with a quick and easy dinner that would incorporate some chicken for him and some veggies for me…stir fry!

Stir fry really is so easy to do. I don’t know why I don’t do it more often?

Jay took care of grilling the chicken (since he is the Grill Master and all) while I cooked up the brown rice, put together the carrots, red bell pepper, and sugar snap peas. Thanks, again, to the wonderful Cooking Light magazine, I was also able to one of their recommendations to put together a killer teriyaki sauce. Jay and I decided that it was definitely the best I’ve ever made. Yum!

Almost immediately after dinner, I couldn’t help but dig right into a fun package that came in the mail today.

These, my friends, would be chocolate covered medjool dates from Sweet Pillar & Co.

Last week, I was contacted by the folks at Daily Gourmet to see if I would be interested in sampling some of these divine little treats and of course, you know I’m always game for anything that involves chocolate. Winking smile

I received four flavors: Dark Chocolate, Coconut, Almonti Stuffed, and Crispy Chocolate

Out of all four flavors, it was the crispy chocolate that caught my attention today, so that’s what I went for.

Holy cow. Think: Crunch bar meets Larabar…then multiply the yum factor times 100. I’ve already eaten three. Thank goodness I put the rest in the freezer…

Then again, that’d probably taste just as good, if not better? Oh boy. I am in big trouble. Surprised smile

But enough about me teasing with how good they are…you want to know the coolest part about these chocolate covered medjool dates?

YOU have a chance to win some of your own!
