After spending about three hours studying at Starbucks this afternoon, I finally made my way home. Right before I left, I got a text message from Jay asking if I’d be able to stop and pick up a quick pick lotto ticket for tonight’s lotto drawing (hey, a dollar and a dream, right?) so I stopped at a local Stewart’s shop to pick one up.
While I was in there and paying for my slim chance at becoming a millionaire, I happened to notice that they were giving away free mini samples of ice cream…sign me UP!
Considering the fact that I love anything free AND I love their ice cream, I was psyched as it was; but then I realized that it wasn’t just any ice cream. Oh no. They were giving away samples of their new Pumpkin Pie flavored ice cream which is mixed with big chunks of graham cracker crust. Oh man, it’s amazing. If you live near a Stewart’s, you need to get this, stat.
(In case you’re wondering, yes, the ice cream did drip right into my lap. Woops.)
Dinner
I was in the mood for absolutely nothing for dinner tonight. It’s very rare that this happens, but when it does, I just hate it. Nothing sounded appealing, and I really didn’t feel like cooking anything. So I was rather proud of the fact that I actually took the time to put together a salad, when all I really wanted to do was dive head first into my bag of pumpkin spice bagels. ![]()
I made a simple veggie salad, topped with a MorningStar Farms veggie burger.
On the side, I snacked on a serving of baked tortilla scoops with a heavy helping of pineapple peach salsa. I actually picked this up a couple weeks ago while at Target but just dug into it tonight. It’s been over a year since I last had this stuff- I can’t believe I had forgotten about it for so long!
While we were eating dinner, my mother-in-law stopped in quick to drop off some goodies that she picked up for us while shopping at our favorite outlets today.
I’d say she knows us pretty darn well, wouldn’t you?
I can’t wait to dig into these!

Love Target salsas! Or I guess I should say “Archer Farms”
I don’t normally play the lottery; I think the most I won was $50 on a scratch off!

The only time I play the lotto is when I get scratch off tickets for Christmas. Two years ago I thought I won 75 dollars. I was so excited! When I took it in to cash it, it was for $150! That ice cream flavor looks delish.

Ah, pumpkin pie ice cream!!! I miss ice cream so much for this reason. When I saw the Eddy’s Pumpkin Pie flavor in the store I came sOOOOO close to buying it but then remembered how awful I would feel if I did that to my stomach.

I’ve only played the lotto once, but my sister won a car when she was in high school!! She simply filled out one of the slips at the grocery store and actually won! When we received the news, my dad thought it was a solicitor, so he ignored the calls for several weeks. He then realized that it wasn’t a scam!

I have that banana peanut butter. I love anything banana and it’s good, but not great. It’s definitely banana flavored artificially.
OOh, good to know. I was desperately trying to figure out how to get it. Now, I can relax.

My fiancee got me that flavor and the carmel flavor for Christmas. Shipping is expensive and I kept thinking I could make this myself for less.
Oh man, that ice cream sounds fantastic! Too bad we don’t have a Stewart’s where I live.
Harry and David makes banana peanut butter? They think of everything. This sounds so good! Your post is full of goodies today.

Those mini ice creams are so cute! I once won 50 pounds from a lottery scratch card…I was like 12 so it felt like more like a million…don’t ask why I was playing the lottery at such a young age!

There is nothing better than pumpkin ice cream and when it’s free, that’s even better! I love te mini cone! So cute!
I’ve always wanted to try Morningstar Farms veggie burgers. I don’t know which one to try. I’ve had Boca Burgers and I’m not a fan of the soy meats. I’d rather have a veggie burger made from real veggies. Which one do you recommend?
