After spending about three hours studying at Starbucks this afternoon, I finally made my way home. Right before I left, I got a text message from Jay asking if I’d be able to stop and pick up a quick pick lotto ticket for tonight’s lotto drawing (hey, a dollar and a dream, right?) so I stopped at a local Stewart’s shop to pick one up.
While I was in there and paying for my slim chance at becoming a millionaire, I happened to notice that they were giving away free mini samples of ice cream…sign me UP!
Considering the fact that I love anything free AND I love their ice cream, I was psyched as it was; but then I realized that it wasn’t just any ice cream. Oh no. They were giving away samples of their new Pumpkin Pie flavored ice cream which is mixed with big chunks of graham cracker crust. Oh man, it’s amazing. If you live near a Stewart’s, you need to get this, stat.
(In case you’re wondering, yes, the ice cream did drip right into my lap. Woops.)
I was in the mood for absolutely nothing for dinner tonight. It’s very rare that this happens, but when it does, I just hate it. Nothing sounded appealing, and I really didn’t feel like cooking anything. So I was rather proud of the fact that I actually took the time to put together a salad, when all I really wanted to do was dive head first into my bag of pumpkin spice bagels.
I made a simple veggie salad, topped with a MorningStar Farms veggie burger.
On the side, I snacked on a serving of baked tortilla scoops with a heavy helping of pineapple peach salsa. I actually picked this up a couple weeks ago while at Target but just dug into it tonight. It’s been over a year since I last had this stuff- I can’t believe I had forgotten about it for so long!
While we were eating dinner, my mother-in-law stopped in quick to drop off some goodies that she picked up for us while shopping at our favorite outlets today.
I’d say she knows us pretty darn well, wouldn’t you?
I can’t wait to dig into these!
Thank you so much to everyone who entered the giveaway. The winner of the chocolate covered dates giveaway IS…
Congratulations, Lindsay! Please email me at sweettoothcourtney[@]gmail[.]com so I can some info from you!
I think it’s just about time to go grab a couple chocolate covered dates, slip into my cozies, and get ready for my favorite Wednesday night comedies (The Middle & Modern Family)!
(P.S. – I know I promised you a cupcake recipe…it’s still coming, I just a bit delayed. It will be up tomorrow – I pinky promise!)
Question for the Evening:
Do you play the lotto? Have you ever won anything?
