Talk about an absolutely beautiful, perfect day.
This afternoon, Jay and I headed out for a fun-filled day of parties with friends and family as we usually do on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Our first stop of the day was at my BFF, Heather’s house.
I had fun catching up a bit more with Heather and absolutely could not wait to get my hands on cutie, Logan. I still can’t believe how BIG he’s getting…and that smile!
We didn’t stay for any of the main party food at Heather’s but I did manage to grab a couple cookies on my way out the door…
Heather, I NEED this recipe. These things were out of this WORLD.
Once we left Heather’s we headed on up to Saratoga Lake, which was already in full swing by the time we arrived.
There was some corn hole…
(Mal – you and me, tomorrow – we got this!)
Some relaxing by the lake…
Some beers by the lake…
Some dogs with mohawks (courtesy of his Uncle Jay, of course…)
Some dinner…
Some delicious chocolate peanut buttery dessert…
And, of course, a boat ride along Saratoga Lake.

A perfect day, if you ask me.
Yup, definitely a perfect day.

! On a different topic- I was running on the treadmill this morning and was so tempted to call it quits at about 4 miles. I then remembered that I commented on one of your posts (I think Saturday?) that I wanted to run over 5 miles and that was enough to give me the final push. So thanks for the indirect motivation

Looks like you had an amazing day. We have our long weekend next weekend, hopefully the sun shines! I want to see more pics of the pool unveiling – pools are such a novelty to us Irish sine none of us have them

Aw, this DOES look like the perfect day! I spent the day out at a friend’s family’s annual bbq bash, and although we didn’t have boats or dogs, we had babies, volleyball, football, and way too much good food! Glad the weather made for such a lovely day

I am SO jealous you got to go boating! I grew up right by Chicago and that is one thing I miss living in Arizona now. No water! No lakes! I use to love going to the beach and going out on lake Michigan.
