Saturday Happenings

by Courtney on February 17, 2013

Chill time with the Codester.

Mani/pedi & catch-up date with Kelsey, who always does amazing work.

Lunch date with my bestie, including butternut squash soup.

And a grilled chicken sammy.

Baby furniture shopping with Jay.

I think we found the set we want!

Plus an extra little gift for him. Winking smile

A little Mexico shopping for me.

Couldn’t beat that price!

Dinner date with the boy at Pizzeria Uno to use up a gift card from Christmas.

Including a grilled eggplant, spinach, and feta flatbread appetizer pizza.

And an amazing “50 Shades of Green” salad that knocked my socks off.

Post dinner movie date.

Which, of course, included some candy for us to share. Smile

I cannot get enough of those Haribo gummy peaches. If only I had this enormous bag at my my disposal.

Totally awesome Saturday, for sure. Smile

What an awesome Saturday! How was the movie? It looks hilarious!! I had a great Saturday, too! Hit up TJ’s, took the kids to a theater production of Rapunzel and had Jason’s Deli for dinner. Hope your Sunday is just as great!!

Your nails came out great! I’ve never seen that movie but I really want to. Obviously you can’t go to the movies without a bag of candy, though :) That chicken sandwich looks so good. The bread. Gets me every time.

What a great looking Saturday! It looks like you got a lot accomplished and got in some quality time with family and friends, too. Those days are the best!

I LOVE that dress and you are right, that is a fab price! That flat bread pizza appetizer is totally calling my name, too. I am a sucker for veggie-filled pizzas!

That baby book looks pretty funny. You will have to keep us updated on all of the fun new things that Jay learns! ;)

12 Heather @fitncookies February 17, 2013 at 11:09 am

Ummmm, yes. LOL :)

29 Annette@FitnessPerks February 17, 2013 at 3:56 pm

That sounds/looks like my kind of day–nails, shopping, movie, food. Awesome!!

30 sherice@foodieluvsfitness February 17, 2013 at 4:05 pm

I had a dream I made butternut soup last night.. weird I know. I think it’s because I’m on day 10 of no meat no dairy and I love to cook so my brain is on overtime thinking of delicious recipes! I’m totally guessing here!!

That dress is adorable! I love T J Maxx!

My bestie is in Cabo right now and I talked to her today. She’s having an awesome time!
Have a safe and fun trip!

31 Melissa @ Freeing Imperfections February 17, 2013 at 4:16 pm

That book looks really handy! I’m so glad they have books like that out for dads-to-be now.

Can’t wait to see what furniture set you guys got. How excited! Looks like a really amazing Saturday indeed.

32 Katie @ Talk Less, Say More February 17, 2013 at 4:51 pm

Looks like a great Saturday to me!

33 Lisa February 17, 2013 at 4:59 pm

I have a book suggestion for your hubby. “She’s having a baby…I’m having a breakdown” it’s a funny take on pregnancy and everything that goes with it. We’ve passed it around to all the husbands in our friends circle each time one of us is pregnant.

34 Courtney February 18, 2013 at 9:44 am

Thanks, Lisa. I’ll look into that!

35 Clara February 17, 2013 at 5:12 pm

That appetizer looks delicious!!!!! :)

36 Ashley @ Life and Fitness February 17, 2013 at 6:46 pm

38 Brittany @ DulceVie February 17, 2013 at 8:05 pm

Looks like you had a nice saturday!

39 Hilary February 17, 2013 at 9:27 pm

I have that same dress – so comfy and such a fun print! Have fun in Mexico!

40 Lyric February 17, 2013 at 11:25 pm

Love the crib set on the left! I think dark wood looks so elegant. the name 50 Shades of Green for a salad totally cracks me up and I bet it tastes delicious.

41 Bek @ Crave February 18, 2013 at 1:58 am

Busy weekend! Looks great though. How can you pick out a set without knowing the sex? I guess the cribs are usually pretty unisex and then you frill it up or bloke it up with the sheets and toys etc.

Your Tj MAXX reminds me of Trade Secret we have in Aus- they always do really cheap stuff.

42 Courtney February 18, 2013 at 9:44 am

The furniture is definitely gender neutral. Once we know if Baby Tooth is a he or a she, then we can pick out bedding and everything else. :)

43 Tara | Treble in the Kitchen February 18, 2013 at 5:07 am

What a fun Saturday!!! :) PS: are those your real nails!?!? They look gorgeous!! What do you do to keep them so long??

44 Courtney February 18, 2013 at 9:43 am

Yes, they are mine! It’s a shellac manicure. :) I think they must look longer than they actually are (I have long nail beds lol). But I will say that the prenatal vitamins I take totally help!

45 Natalie @ Free Range Human February 18, 2013 at 9:02 am

Sounds like a great Saturday! Identity Thief is the next one on my list to see. We saw Safe Haven yesterday.

46 Maureen @ Breaking Free & Finding Me February 18, 2013 at 9:30 am

What a great day spent with friends and family (the best way to spend it in my opinion!) :)
That nursery looks adorable! How was identity thief? Worth seeing?

47 Courtney February 18, 2013 at 9:42 am

We liked it!

48 Monica February 18, 2013 at 11:36 am

The darker of the two crib sets is what we went with too! Love it!

49 Valerie @ FreshMutz February 18, 2013 at 12:50 pm

I love Haribo gummies! While peaches are undeniably delish, the Phantasia mix has my heart!

50 Amanda Lee February 22, 2013 at 11:44 am

I picked up a bag of those gummy peaches at Target and I haven’t been the same since. ;) YUM!

I’m late looking at this & saw that dress on you from your Mexico pictures.. um gorgeous!! Well worth 16.99! Wow!
