I’m excited to do a little beauty and hair talk today! I recently came across a post on Molly’s blog about products she uses every single day, which I thought was a super great idea. It got me thinking about all of the products that I use on an (almost) daily basis, and I realized that many of them ended up coming back to being beauty and/or hair related. So today I’m stealing her idea and sharing 7 of my favorite products I use (almost) daily.
Clarisonic Mia 2 – This is actually a new-to-me product since Christmas (I received it as a gift from my parents), but I absolutely love it. I had been complaining that I felt like my face never really felt 100% clean, and it’s kind of crazy to see what else was left on my face after even after washing.
ChapStick Medicated Lip Balm – I’ve always been a chapstick person, and I don’t know what originally turned me on to the medicated kind, but it is seriously my favorite. I love the cooling sensation that it provides and always leaves my lips feeling soft.
Oil of Olay Complete Moisturizer – I’ve been using this moisturizer for as long as I can remember. It’s the same one my mom used/uses, and it’s always worked for me, so why change a good thing?
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – I already told you guys about this intense moisturizer before, but it continues to be a daily ritual. I use it anywhere, from my hands to my face (sometimes I slather a little extra on my under eyes and definitely on the hands before bed) and it feels amazing on my sensitive skin.
Kenra Volume Spray 25 – I’m a big fan of hairspray. I have some of the limpest hair around, so if I don’t use any, it’s falling flat on my head, right in my face. And, sorry ozone, but aerosol is the only way to go. I’ll interchange between the 25 and 18 versions of their hairspray, but they’re definitely my favorite as of the last year or so. I’m super thankful to have a mom as a hairdresser who can get these items from the beauty supply stores!
Redken Fashion Waves 07 Texturizing Sea Spray – I guess it might be a bit of a stretch to say that I use this everyday, but it is a semi-recent find for me that I use on days where I want to give my hair a little extra “oomph.”
It works on both wet hair or dry, and while it doesn’t necessarily give me “waves” (again, my hair is as straight as it comes), it does provide a bit of extra texture and volume.
That photo above is my hair from yesterday – not washed, with some texture spray spritzed on to dry hair in the morning…however, the photo was taken at about 7pm and hadn’t been brushed since about 7AM. Don’t judge.
Hair Straightener – I use my straightener just about every day, whether I just washed my hair or am taking a day off, or whether I want it curly or straight (I know, I still owe you guys a video on how I curl my hair with it!). My mom treated me to my current straightener a couple of years ago and it’s great. I think the key to a good straightener is making sure it gets hot enough – I swear, it’s the only way my hair holds a curl!
So how about you guys? What hair and beauty products do you use (almost) every day!?

I definitely use my clarisonic every single day too. I wouldn’t trade it for anything! I’ll have to look into a few of the products you mentioned like the Olay cream. I’ve never seen that one before.
Sarah @ Sarah Sincerely says
I love posts like this. I’m always curious about what others use and what I need/might want to add to my “beauty regimen.” Hmm..let’s see, I use either my straightener or curling wand almost daily. Oh, and Proactive+. It has done wonders for my acne prone skin. I’ve been using it since Christmas, and I’ve been so pleased!

Inlove the First Aid Oatmeal Repair mask! It’s super hydrating for winter. I also couldn’t live without my Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle spray. I use it as a heat protectant for me and a detangler for my little ones!
Danielle says
i love posts like these! It’s not everyday because I don’t wash my hair everyday, but I love It’s a 10 for my hair! It detangles and gives my hair volume and shine!
Courtney says
Yes! I’ve used that in the past before, too!
Brynn says
I trcent started using First Aid beauty products and am in love! My skin feels ultra clean and hydrated especially when paired with my Mia (another favorite)!
Laura says
Love this post! I’m always curious what other people use and recommend-especially because my hair is super fine and limp too! I’ve heard nothing but good things about Clarisonic-maybe a Valentine’s gift to myself? ;) Great post!
Courtney says
I think that sounds like a great gift idea ;)
Linz @ Itz Linz says
i use blistex with menthol every day – that’s the only thing that really hydrates me lips! i also use neutrogena face soap every day!
Jill @ Champagne for Everyday says
Great job on wearing the daily sunscreen! I have been curious about the Clarisonic for a while, but I use Retin-A (which is my daily anti-wrinkle and anti-zit must) so a bit worried it will irritate. Do you find it to be gentle?

Definitely. I have super sensitive skin and have yet to have any trouble with it!
Hilary says
I had to laugh about your aerosol hairspray remark because I totally agree – it is the ONLY way to go. I also have fine hair that needs some help in the volume department – I have become hooked on the Sea Marine line of shampoo & conditioner from h2o+. And my go-to beauty product is a bronzing SPF tinted moisturizer made by Stila – a super small bit mixed in with normal face moisturizer gives me just enough glow for the colder months here in Michigan.
Courtney says
I’ve never heard about that shampoo/conditioner. They’re for fine/limp hair?? I may have to check them out!
Marielle says
I keep hearing about the first aid beauty products, I may have to give it a try! I use aquaphor everyday for my Chapstick and couldn’t live without it! :)

Ahhh, what is it about posts like these that are just so fun to read?? I guess we all like to be a little nosy sometimes and take a closer look into the lives of others. My go-to products lately? I’ve been loving the Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer for a while now – it seems to work well with my skin type and feels great post-shower. I typically shower before bed (saves time in the morning since I have a 30 minute commute to work), and let my hair air dry. In the morning, I just fluff it and add some flexible hold hairspray (Pantene) to add some oompf to it. I’ve been using this “method” for a while and it seems to be working well. The bonus? I don’t have to blow dry or curl so I can avoid the extra heat damage.
Courtney says
I wish I could have a routine like that! If I went to bed with wet hair and let it air dry, it would wake up absolutely gross!
Melissa @ Freeing Imperfections says
As creepy as it sounds, I love checking out what other girls have in their bathroom! This is a great post idea and I keep meaning to do the same myself.
I love hairspray too and use TIGI hairspray. It’s like $30 but totally worth it and smells amazing!
Courtney says
Haha, not creepy at all – I think we’re all just nosy by nature. Hence, the reason we all read blogs ;)
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment says
Yup – agreed on the clairsonic and the ultra repair cream. I also have to have lip gloss or lipstick with me. That’s always an every day item!
Megan says
yes, I’d love to see how you curl your hair with a straightener!!
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
I’ve always been intrigued by those Clarisonics… They’re a little pricey, so I’ve never taken the plunge. But it sounds like it’s worth it? Have you noticed a difference in your skin?
Courtney says
I really am impressed with how it removes excess dirt and makeup. I haven’t been using it too long at a consistent rate, so I’m not sure I’ve noticed a difference in my skin yet…we shall see though!
Liv @ Healthy Liv says
I have a Clarisonic and I love it! I’ve never used volumizing products in my life because my hair is just about the opposite of yours :)
Lizzie @ The Magic Tree says
I cut my hair into a long bob last spring and have struggled with how to style it just right. I recently saw a tutorial for beachy waves and of course, bought everything the girl used haha. Now I’m obsessed!
Courtney says
Oh that’s funny! So awesome though, when you find things like that and they work!
Kelsey Bjelland says
Your comment about “sorry, ozone” made me laugh out loud! So funny – and I totally agree. I love Kenra products but they’re so expensive! I just bought their root lifter though (splurge after a new haircut) and I’m loving it!
Courtney says
I just started using some of the Kenra products this year and I agree, they’re great! I also have the root lifter and use it every couple of days, but I feel like some days it just works better than others??
Hillary | Nutrition Nut on the Run says
love my clarisonic mia. don’t know what i’d do without it!
Kristin @ Iowa Girl Eats says
My Mom used Oil of Olay face lotion all growing up too – it’s one of my most vivid memories of her when I was young, actually! Love that smell so much!
Courtney says
How funny is that?!
Furonda says
Courtney you’re hair looks so pretty and shiny in that pic! And it’s so awesome knowing someone in the hair industry. We save so much on hair color and other products!
Courtney says
Thanks Furonda! Yes, it absolutely helps – that stuff does get expensive!
Ashley @ A Lady Goes West says
I use a face scrubber as well, and love the way it makes my skin feel. You are the second person to post about that intense moisturizer today, so apparently I need to get on that. Fun one, thanks for sharing! :)
Anita says
I use my Clarisonic pretty religiously, too!
And I think your hair looks pretty and beachy in that photo, for the record. ;)
Always, Anita
Courtney says
Awww, why thank you, Anita! :)
Melissa says
I also got the clarisonic for Christmas! I love it but I am not sure if I am doing it right haha. Do you use it in the morning and at night?
Courtney says
I usually use it in the evenings – I have no time to add anything new to my morning routine right now lol ;)
Melissa says
Okay that is what I have been doing too!
haha. Who has time to add more to their morning routine?!
Thanks!
Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona says
I’m like you, the only way I can get my annoyingly straight hair to curl is with my flatiron. And even then I have to have it on high.
Stephanie @ Sparkles and Sweat says
my mom uses oil of olay too so it’s what i’ve been using since i was a teenager. :)
Elle says
My favorite chapstick is Burt’s Bees. It has peppermint in it so it gives that cooling feeling. I also use my charcoal face wash bar and an essential oil on my face everyday.
Fiona says
Hairspray ALL the way!!!! Plus my straightener. I have this weird crimpy/curly/dreadlock hair and it needs to be TAMED!!!! Plus Bare Minerals make up for a not too heavy ‘work’ look completes the prep for the day! :)
