This Caramel Coffee Frapp is a perfect little treat to enjoy while the temperatures are rising. Quick and easy to whip up in the blender, and way cheaper than your standard coffee house frozen coffee drink!

Hey guys, and happy Saturday to you! I’m popping in quick today because I just had to share a little recipe that I whipped up yesterday in the midst of our humid, 90 degree heat.
Anyone else a major fan of frozen coffee drinks? Umm, I know I am. However, we all know that the price can be a bit ridiculous, no? So the other day, I decided that I wanted to try making one of my own…and it was actually super easy!
Of course, to make a frozen coffee drink, you need a good coffee/espresso base. And for this recipe, I decided to attempt a batch at some cold brew coffee using some of these alternative nespresso pods of Gourmesso that the company recently sent me to try out.
At first I didn’t think I’d even be able to use them, to be honest, because I don’t own a Nespresso machine (even though I totally want one now). But I realized that they’re perfect for making cold brew coffee, too.
To make the cold brew, I emptied about 3-4 of the pods into a container, mixed it with 2 cups of cold water, and let it sit overnight for about 24 hours.
The next day, I strained the coffee by pouring it into a fine mesh strainer lined with a coffee filter over a large bowl.
Nice and sludgy…looks totally gross, right?
But once it’s strained, you’ve got yourself some delicious cold brew coffee ready for drinking!
So once the cold brew was ready, it was time to make my coffee frapp…
And ohhhh myyyyyy, was it delicious!
So in case you’re looking for a fun drink to treat yourself with this weekend to try and beat the heat, go ahead and give this Caramel Coffee Frapp a shot!

I can’t have any caffeine ever did you make yours with out caffeine or with? If no caffeine how was the taste?
Thanks

Mine did have caffeine in it, but you could easily make cold brew using a good, strong decaf! Starbucks has one that I’ve enjoyed during this pregnancy – it’s a stronger roast so it adds a little more “oomph” to make up for the lack of caffeine (I think, at least!)

Ummm how did I miss this post? I can’t wait to try both of these. I have a mega coffee addiction and drinks in Hawaii are SO expensive. you’d think coffee would be cheap here because it’s something readily available and grown here but the tourism really jacks up the price!
I also love coffee mate and all flavored creamers. No judgement!

This looks great! If you’d like to keep the ice cubes from watering down the cold brew coffee or even the Frapp, make coffee ice cubes.
Use a different tray than you would use for water ice cubes to avoid leftover coffee flavor getting into the water ice.
