Only a couple more weeks left until Halloween is here! Have you stocked up on your Halloween candy for your little Trick-or-Treaters? Or, if we’re being honest, for yourself?
I’ll tell you what…if there’s one thing that drives me nuts during this time of year, it’s all of the graphics/memes/whatever you want to call them that explain things like how many burpees you need to do in order to burn off one mini candy bar.
I mean, c’mon, seriously? Sure, I enjoy my exercise (although burpees are questionable…) but I don’t want to know how many minutes of exercise I need to do to burn off my five mini Twix bars I just housed while watching Quantico. You know?!
So if I can say one thing, I’ll say this: Go ahead and ENJOY whatever candy you wind up eating this Halloween season. Seriously! (Just don’t steal ALL of your kids’ candy because that wouldn’t be good for anyone involved.)
And if you feel like having a little fun with your leftover Halloween candy, then go ahead and make some of these delicious and EASY Chocolate Brownie Candy Parfaits.
I’m excited to be teaming up with the National Confectioners Association this month, to share some delicious candy-inspired recipes. Both the NCA and I feel the same way when it comes to candy: enjoy it in moderation! And I have a feeling many of you guys agree, too.
Fun Fact? According to NCA, almost 90% of Americans use Halloween as a chance to talk to their kids about moderation. So don’t go depriving yourself from a few of your favorites, mmkay?
Because honestly, could you really pass up one of these if it were placed in front of you?
I know I couldn’t. And I didn’t. Because they didn’t stand a chance after I finished taking these photographs.
And even better yet? These parfaits are SO easy to put together. You start with your brownies…and sure, you could go homemade if you wanted to, but personally, I’ve just always had better luck with boxed brownie mix. The fudgier, the better!
Then you mix up some instant pudding. Five, ten minutes tops and that part is taken care of. I went with chocolate, but feel free to pick your favorite! Vanilla, butterscotch, white chocolate…endless possibilities!
Once you’ve got your brownies and your pudding set, all you’ll need to do is open up a carton of whipped topping and decide which of your favorite chocolate candies you want to use! For this recipe, I used a mix of Snickers, Crunch Bars, and Twix (three of my favorites), but you use whatever you’d like. It’ll be delicious no matter what.
Layer it all up in your favorite parfait glasses (or stemless wine glasses, a la these pictures) and you’re good to go! And even if you don’t have individual glasses, you could always make one big layered dessert in a trifle bowl.

I LOVE Halloween candy! I’m a sucker for mini candy bars, especially Reese’s, Snickers, and Twix. Yum. Also, candy corn lover over here. I can only eat like five little pieces before I question all of my life choices, but I’m still a fan.

I’ve been holding off buying Halloween candy because I know it will be gone. Last year I was ahead of the game and bought some only to have eaten it all before Hlaloween. We aren’t even huge candy eaters but when it’s around, haha. I love the look of these!!

Courtney – We’re drooling over these amazing looking treats. These would be so fun to make now, but we love the idea of waiting until AFTER Halloween as a way to use some of the loot the kids bring home. I can promise you that’s what will be happening in my house. Thanks for the delicious idea!
