It’s Sunday night at 8:30pm right now as I’m sitting down to type, and I have to go ahead and give myself a big ol’ pat on the back right now because I actually motivated myself to do a workout after the boys were both in bed. This neverrrr happens, but it felt great (I did this lower body workout, followed by this quick upper body barre workout, both were awesome!).
But let’s be real…I may have just finished a workout, but I’m about to dive face first into this container of treats that my amazing neighbor dropped off earlier today.
It’s all about balance, right? ; )
Since it’s a little later and I have another episode of Bloodline waiting for me (we’re about halfway through season 2 right now, sooooo good!), I’m just going to share some of my favorite highlights from this past weekend.
Including a delicious ham, egg, and cheese sandwich made by Jay.
A fabulous lunch including these sliders and these sliders.
Some Not Your Father’s Root Beer (which is SO much better than the vanilla crème ale!).
A batch of some of my favorite cookie bars (subbing white/milk/dark chocolate chips for the Heath bars).
A mani/pedi date with two of my neighbors/girlfriends (heck YES for great neighbors turned friends!).
A full day spent with two of our favorite people, Joe & Kate!
And getting to see their daughter, Samantha, and Lucas have a blast playing together all day.
Seeing these two try to day drink the way they used to, before children.
Having a 70 degree day to be able to open the doors/windows and let some fresh air through…Cody absolutely approved.
Alex doing his first grocery shopping trip in the big boy cart, and loving every second of it.
Getting to go and visit our cousins Sarah and Jeff and their new baby boy, Colton (which I can’t believe I never even got a picture of, gahhh!) and seeing Lucas and his cousin Chase have tons of fun.
A quick, last minute dinner with my parents #nothavingtocookforthewin.
Watching Lucas play with his papa, who he just adores.
And being able to give these two tubbies together now that Alex has finally graduated from the big, bulky plastic tub.
Aaaaaand, those are some of my favorite weekend highlights! How about YOUR weekend? What was up with you guys??

Oh my gosh I remember when mine was big enough to sit in the big tub. I felt like it was such a huge deal, haha. And the shopping cart! Such fun times. I’m glad you had a great weekend! Wish we had young fun neighbors. I either have vacant houses, neighbors who don’t speak English (Seriously, whyyyy!) or lots of older folks ;) Love the nail color you chose, by the way!

The picture of the kids in that little car is TOO cute! Love :)
Also, after seeing the treats from your neighbor and the blondies you made, I have a major craving. I may have to get baking today, it’s been too long!

You babe awesome neighbors! All I ever receive from them are the leaves that fall from their tree and into our yard or a restrainin order! #love

Love love Bloodline! Make sure you know when it’s the last episode. We got roped in and were so sad when we unknowingly watched the last episode.

Thanks for posting those at home workouts! I love seeing videos that other people recommend rather than blidley guessing which ones are good. Sounds like a great weeekend. Basically all of Saturday was a highlight as my daughter came down with a cold on Sunday. At least we were house bound on a cold and snowy day? Have a great week :)

This sounds like a wonderful weekend! My boyfriend and I watched Bloodline a couple of months ago SO embarrassingly fast after someone in LuluLemon told my mom it was like a “dark Parenthood” – which it totally is if you’ve watched Parenthood. I can’t wait for the third season to come out in a few months!
The best part of my weekend was getting to have all of my family in one place since two of my little sisters were home from college.

I love seeing Cody again! I miss those kitty pics! Also, can your neighbor please share recipes?? Whatever it is on the right side – buckeye bars?? – I need those in my life :)

your weekend looked absolutely perfect!! and trust me, i always get home from a workout and look for the nearest treat i can get my hands on. i know that’s not a great habit, but i agree with you in that balance is key :)
i LOVED bloodline the first season but for some reason can’t get into the 2nd! i’ve been obsessed with This Is Us though, and may or may not have binge watched that pretty hard this weekend…

I basically workout so I can eat the treats! So cute your boys in the bath together, I remember being so excited for our son to take a big boy tub!

I can’t even handle the big boy cart! I’ve only let my 10 month old twice. I am afraid he will like it and not want mommy to wear him anymore! How crazy am I?! I LOVE those cuddles, kisses, and talks when I wear him!

M&M bars are the best decadent treat. You have some awesome neighbors!!
