1. These cookies. I just cannot be trusted around them. They are my nemesis.
But they are just so freakin’ good. I’m curious though…how many of you have them called Samoas where you are, and how many of you have them called Caramel deLites? I just can’t imagine them being called anything other but Samoas! Oh, and for those of you who had the Toffee-tastic cookies available to you this year, I’m wicked jealous, because apparently they weren’t available around here. Did anyone try them? Are they amazing? Tell me they’re not amazing.
2. Earlier in the week, I noticed that the balance on my Starbucks card was at $6.66, so that was motivation enough to hit up my local ‘bux that morning to switch up that number.
Does anyone else get weird about that kinda stuff? Superstitious at all?
3. Pretty much every day this week when I’ve gotten home from work, I’ve immediately changed into my cozies. Lately, I can’t get enough of the two tops I have from Augusta Sportswear. They’re ridiculously comfy, and a lighter than wearing a sweatshirt how that the weather is (finally!) starting to warm up.
4. As I’m trying to type this post up on Thursday evening, Lucas is apparently not having bed time. This could get interesting…I guess we’ll see how long this post takes to write up.
5. {5 minutes later} Okay, it looks like it was just a case of a lost teddy and some extra snuggles needed from mom. I can handle that. <3
6. I don’t think I’ve told you guys, but I started trying out some new workout videos and WOW, they are craaaaazy awesome. I’m doing some of the Insanity Max: 30 workout videos, mixed with some T25 and PiYo for a good mix, and I think they’re great. Funny, too, because I didn’t think I was looking for something intense like that…but it’s leaving me with a serious burn and I’m hooked.
7. I am absolutely dyyyyyyying to get my hands on an orange and vanilla twist cone with loads of rainbow sprinkles from The Snowman. They opened up maybe a week or two ago, but it just didn’t feel right going while it was still snowing… But now? I can’t get there soon enough. I’m *hoping* we can make it happen tonight!
Old preggo throwback pic!
8. I realized that I never shared these muffins on the blog (only on Instagram), but they are absolutely worth mentioning again, and I’m making another batch of them this weekend to bring for Easter brunch.
The recipe is this Blueberry Muffins with Streusel Crumb Topping from Oh My God Chocolate Desserts and, yeah, oh my god. They’re amazing.
9. This guy was having a blast with his sunglasses earlier this week again. SO proud when he got them on…left them there for a good 5 minutes too. At least.
I was dying.
10. How is it seriously already Easter this weekend?! Wasn’t it just St. Patrick’s Day?? Ay yi yi!
For those of you celebrating, I wish you all a very happy Easter Sunday! And for those of you celebrating Passover, I’m wishing you all a very happy Passover, too! Have a great weekend everyone, whatever you may be doing, and I’ll check in with you soon.

Where I grew up (Rhode Island) I called them Caramel Delights, but sometime in high school or college they started being called Samoas – I honestly can’t remember if the name was actually changed or if I just started hearing them being called Samoas when I went to college (in Ohio). Where I live now (DC) they are called Samoas. I always thought maybe it was just a geographical thing? This is a constant battle between me and my fiancé..I can’t ever call them anything but Caramel Delights!

i love in Michigan and we call the cookie a Samoa. I wonder why it has different names. But they are deliciously dangerous! The lemon cookie are my jam right now with a warm cup of tea. Those Girl Scouts don’t mess around!
Tiff @ Love, Sweat, & Beers says
Mmmm, ice cream!!! :) I’ve been having my fair share lately, though I could use some sprinkles.

I’ve felt the same way about going to get Ritas on the first day of spring! I’m pretty sure it was snowing that day so I decided even though it would be free, it just wouldn’t feel right.
Also those girl scout cookies will never be called caramel delites. Samoas forever!!
Becky @ Olives n Wine says
SAMOAS….. I cannot be trusted with a box of those either! 1 box = 1 serving, right?! ;)

I am a HUGE Samoa* fan, however this past year I discovered Keebler’s Coconut Dreams cookies. If I’m being honest I purchased them on more than one occasion and now I simply didn’t have the craving for Somoas like I did in previous years. I know the funds go toward a good cause and in previous years I’d seek out Girl Scout booths — but not this year. If you get a chance I do recommend trying them. To me they taste exactly the same!
*I was a Girl Scout in Virginia in the mid-90s-early 00s and we called them Samoas. I’d never heard of Caramel DeLites until recent years. For what it’s worth, I believe the name is determined by which bakery they come from.
Danielle @ Little Mama Big Life says
Samoas are dangerous in my house too! My hubby insisted on 6 boxes this year! The problem is, he can eat one or two and leave them where I have no self control! I told him he can’t leave me home alone with all these cookies all day! Have a great weekend!
Amanda @ ABW says
Girl bye! Those muffins look amazeballs! As does the ice cream! Sweet tooth is going wild now. Have a terrific weekend.
Marielle says
Oh Samoas, those are the best!! And is it just me or are the boxes smaller than they used to be? Lame!
Stacie @ SimplySouthernStacie says
Did I miss when the name changed? Those are Samaos in my book!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine says
Hahahaha, my birthday is 6/6/96….but I always make 666 my LUCKY number combo ;)
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
Samoas all the way! I don’t think they call them Caramel deLites on the west coast? I had never even heard of that until I started reading blogs. ;)
Those blueberry streusal muffins sound and look amazing!! Gotta try those!

awww i used to hit up The Snowman all the time when i lived up there! i’ve only ever tried their Only 8, though, so i feel like i probably gipped myself. my brother lives in North Greenbush now so i’ll have to make him take me this summer. i’m prob the only one who doesn’t like Samoas — i can’t stand caramel anything (i know, i know!), or toffee for that matter. thin mints and those lemon smiley things are my jams.
kristin | W [H] A T C H says
i want rainbow sprinkles on an ice cream cone too!
Tara | Treble in the Kitchen says
That ice cream cone looks wonderful!! I am ALWAYS in the mood for the frozen sweet stuff!

Easter is so early this year! Usually much closer to my birthday.
Jen@jpabstfitness says
Oh man, I can’t wait for the first warm evening to go get ice cream cones and sprinkles. Yummmm!!
Happy Easter to you and your family!
Emily @ Life on Food says
I had three Samoas given to me this year at work. They were enough to tell me I could not be trusted with a full box. Love those things!!
Ashley @ A Lady Goes West says
Happy Easter to you and your family, Courtney!
Vera Zecevic says
Hi Courtney,
your muffins look great ( nicer than mine, I’m jealous :-) ) Thanks for sharing !
P.S. I love your blog
Jessica @ kiwiyogirunner says
I have the insanity DVDs and LOVE them! Such an intense workout! I actually should do them again, it’s been a while! The only thing that I struggle with with them is they would be easier with a bit more space- I live in a tiny apartment and I find workouts that only use about a meter squared of space easier haha :)

I’m crazy superstitious about the 666 thing! My sister, who is much more religious than I am, always scoffs at me about it, and says, “It is just a number!”. :)
Lindsay says
It’s weird. I grew up calling them Caramel Delights but in recent years they’ve changed to Samoas here too (I’m in Mississipppi). And I love that you had to change your Starbucks balance. I can’t have 666 pictures on the camera roll on my phone. I have to delete one or take one randomly if it happens. :)
Kristen says
I’m SUPER jealous you get all those fun kinds of girl guide cookies!! In Canada, we only get the chocolate/vanilla sandwich cookies in the spring and thin mints in the Fall… :(
