1. I know I already posted this morning, but I like my Fun Facts Friday posts too much so I’m posting again. They’re my favorite because I can actually write the way I think (going off on a gazillion tangents) but, because they’re numbered, it’s okay.
2. Today my office is headed to Saratoga Race Track for the day! It’s always good time hanging out and betting on the ponies…even though my track record isn’t too good.
3. So we were a little behind in taking Lucas’s 12 month photos, but we finally got ‘em done earlier this week. It absolutely blows my mind to see the comparison between his 1 month and 12 month photos…
Gahhhh…time goes SO fast. I need to work on writing up his 12 month post soon!
4. You know what I was just thinking about the other day? It seems as if pregnancy (or something?!) may have cured my Raynaud’s disease. Remember that hotness? Ugh, it was the worst…but (knock on wood!) I can’t recall having experienced it since well before being pregnant. Whatever the reason, I’ll take it!
5. On my way home from work yesterday, I stopped at a local farm stand to pick up some corn on the cob (it’s our FAVORITE from there) but they had so many beautiful looking things that I just couldn’t leave without some more colors…
Fresh produce is seriously one of the BEST things about summer, isn’t it?
6. I’m traveling to California next week!!! I’m so excited, since I’ve never been, and am really looking forward to attending the IDEA World Conference as part of my partnership with Propel and their Add Flavor Challenge. While I’m there, I’m going to be shadowing a fitness pro for a day, working out with them, and will also have plenty of time to get to catch up with some of my blog pals from all over. It’s gonna be a blast! Just as soon as that flight is over…blech.
7. This morning’s T25 workout was a double and WHEW was it a doozy. Only one more workout left in the alpha phase for me, then it’s on to the beta next week. Thank goodness! I’m starting to get a little bored with the same workouts for the past 5 weeks.
8. The weather this weekend is looking absolutely gorgeous. So you know what that means?! Pool time, pool time, pool time!
9. There’s still time to enter my Annie’s Homegrown giveaway! Be sure to hop on over (bahaha) and do it.
10. I maaaaaay have officially lost my mind. I’ve agreed to participate in both a 5k race AND a 10k race. On the same day. Back to back. I was recently invited to participate in the Runner’s World Half and Festival in Bethlehem, PA on October 17-19th. There’s no way I could add a half marathon into my running like some crazies do, but I DID agree to the Five and Dime. Send help.
OR…come run with me! I would absolutely LOVE to have some friends (and internet friends!) there to help push me along. The more people, the better, right?? If you’re interested in participating, you can register HERE. AND, I also have some discount codes for you to use, so you can get 10% off your registration:
- 5k: blogsweettoothcourt5K
- 10k: blogsweettoothcourt10K

- 5 & Dime: blogsweettoothcourt5&10 (<– the races I’m doing…err, attempting!)

So what do you think…is anyone going to come join meeee?
Ok, that’s all I’ve got today! Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend! xoxo

It’s a dream of mine to do the Runners World Half Festival (and it’s on my birthday!) Have a blast!
Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona says
He looks so big compared to the first photo!
Good luck with the back to back races.
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
I’m so intrigued by the Runners World Half festival, one of these years I might just have to give it a whirl. That’s the weekend after my attempt at my first FULL marathon so yeah, that’s not happening this year… ;)
Katy says
I could never pull off two races in one day! haha. Loving your farm fresh veggies. My favorite part of summer is the farm share we have with our local farm. The highlight of my week is picking up our produce and seeing what ingredients I get for the week!
Sam says
You’ll do great. The 5K will warm you up for the 10K. I signed up for the local half on Oct. 12th. Seems a little lofty still… but I downloaded that Nike+ app and use the coach part of the app to stay on track with training. You might like it!
Paige @ Your Trainer Paige says
Ahhh so jealous you’re going to the IDEA conference! And the race sounds cool, too! Good luck – I’m sure you’ll do great :)
Kim @FITsique says
Umm you are on your own for that running thing. Now if it was a squat competition I would be right there with ya!
Jacquelyn @justjacq says
I used to live in Bethlehem and lived there the first year Runner’s World started hosting there. I was all set to join in and then of course hurt myself. I moved back home to Philly but going back to Bethlehem has always been on my list of runs to do so maaayyybe I’ll be there!
Tiffany says
I recently started doing T25, too, but I’ve not been following the schedule. I’ve been cherry picking the workouts amongst the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. From Alpha, I’ve tried Speed 1.0 and Cardio; from Beta, I’ve tried Speed 2.0 and Core Cardio; from Gamma, I’ve tried Speed 3.0 (this one, especially, is crazy and notoriously the most difficult – so many burpees!). My favorite so far has been Speed 2.0! Try doing Speed 1.0 and Cardio back to back, or Speed 2.0 and Core Cardio… it’s ridiculous.
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
When and where exactly will you be in California?! We’ll be in the San Diego area … if it’s not too far, we may have to meet up if you get some extra free time!!! Let me know!
Sarah @ Making Thyme for Health says
I can’t believe how much Lucas has changed! He just keeps getting cuter and cuter. ;)
That’s so exciting you’re attending the IDEA conference too! I really wanted to go but unfortunately I couldn’t afford it. I guess I will just have to live vicariously through all of your recaps!
Hillary | Nutrition Nut on the Run says
Can’t believe you’ve never been to Cali! I wish I was going to the conference – sounds like a blast! Next year :)
Stacey M. says
Wow, good luck to you on the 5k and the 10k back-to-back! That’s ridiculous … I’m not sure I could it. Right now, my “happy distance” is about 3.5 miles. Are you going to start training for this race?
Shawna says
i totally want to do that trifecta of races one year, but my friend is getting married that wknd so i’ll be in Cali. lots of well-wishes for your training and racing!
carrie says
I don’t think I have ever known anyone else with Raynouds. I’m so glad yours is under control. Mine has gotten better over the last few years too! Love your blog by the way!
Ashley @ Sweet Carolina Belle says
I have Raynouds as well. It’s not bad it the summer thank goodness but it does get difficult to deal with in the winter. Good to hear things can change over the years! Love the personality that Lucas shows in his 12 month photos. He looks like such a ham.
olive says
I had Reynauds too, but then I gained some happy-healthy weight (no longer teetering on a low end of a spectrum) and it went away. I wonder if having a healthier relationship with food and your body (as it seems like you do from being a long time blog reader) had something to do with it!
Sarah says
Pregnancy cured my Raynauds too! I even got it in my toes….not anymore!
Lauren @ Fun, Fit and Fabulous! says
Oh, how I wish I could. I bet the weather is going to be amazing! Although, I don’t think I’ll be ready for that race after baby, I am planning on doing one in December!
Erin says
Lucas is to cute! You can barely even tell he’s the same baby! I’ve been meaning to post this question, but how has your HA been since giving birth? I was diagnosed a month ago.
Courtney says
Thank you! And things have started to become more regular with my HA since pregnancy. Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions! :)
Danica @ It's Progression says
Where in CA are you heading?! My husband and I just found out we’re moving there (for his new job) and we leave for the San Francisco bay area in about a month! It’s obviously not when you’ll be there, but I’m excited to hear all things California right now.
Courtney says
Oh, how fun! I’ll be in Anaheim for the IDEA World conference
Katrina says
I’m also doing the Five and Dime in October! Maybe we can run together — I’d love to meet you!
Elizabeth says
This is super random, but when I read this post way back in August i thought, Raynaud’s sounds like what I have. Sure enough I took some pics this winter and got confirmation today. I never would have known what it was if I hadn’t read your blog! There’s not a whole lot we can do about it, but I’m glad to know I’m not the only one!
Courtney says
Oh wow, no kidding?! Well, I’m glad I could help you out (even if it means crappy Raynaud’s is involved!). :)
