I have some progress pictures of the siding to share with you guys todayyyy! I am absolutely thrilled with how it’s turning out already…but first, let’s talk lunch.
Eggs for lunch sounded fabulous this afternoon, so that’s how I rolled.
I made a two egg scramble, complete with some chopped honey ham, leftover (and roasted) zucchini and squash, and a small chopped tomato. I’ve only done the zucchini-in-eggs thing a couple of times, but each time has surprised me and I end up liking it more than I thought…I was just trying to use up the rest of ‘em!
On the side, I had my last piece of Cheesy Italian Quick Bread (it lasted a bit longer than I thought!) topped with a little butter, plus a white nectarine.
All sorts of different stuff goin’ on there today, but I love the variety.
While I was eating lunch, I also managed to cook up a quick batch of Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies for my hard-working siding guys.
Except I only had about 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, so they also got loaded with mini chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and vanilla chips. Ohhh yeah, baby.
I think the workers are enjoying them, judging by their container already looking to be at least a third gone…
But, SPEAKING of the workers and the new siding on the house…
Here’s a picture of what things looked like yesterday morning, before any work was done.
It’s a sight of beauty, isn’t it?
Well, here’s what we’ve got happening so far today!
Eeeeeeeeek!!! We’re getting there! So, so excited.
The long piece of wood you guys see running below the door there is where Jay and I plan on rebuilding a back deck…granted, that won’t be until at least next spring, but the guys offered to put that up in order to make it a bit easier when the time does come around.
I still can’t believe they’ve been working all through this crappy wind and rain today. So far, it looks like they’re still on course to finish by week’s end. Woo Hooooo!!!
Psst…the winner of the Champion Smoothie Bra Package has been chosen. Was it you???

Wow those cookies look fantastic. I’d be super stoked if I was one of those workers. I totally need to make cookies tonight now (although it’s been on my mind the past 2 nights anyways haha). Cookies in home = happy home, lets be honest!
Siding looks awesome, by the way!

oooooooooooo i love the house color!! redecorating and remodeling can take so much time effort and money but it is so worth it in the end! good for you guys!
Amanda @ .running with spoons. says
Oh wow, the reno looks great! And how sweet of you to make cookies :) I’d -almost- be tempted to help if cookies were involved, but I absolutely hate doing any kind of remodelling… it always takes so much longer than you think, and something always has to go wrong. Then again, the results are definitely worth it :)
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles says
Adding multiple kinds of baking chips to cookies = the way to do it. So good!
