7 Beauty and Hair Products I Use (Almost) Daily

By Courtney 42 Comments

I’m excited to do a little beauty and hair talk today! I recently came across a post on Molly’s blog about products she uses every single day, which I thought was a super great idea. It got me thinking about all of the products that I use on an (almost) daily basis, and I realized that many of them ended up coming back to being beauty and/or hair related. So today I’m stealing her idea and sharing 7 of my favorite products I use (almost) daily.

Clarisonic Mia 2 – This is actually a new-to-me product since Christmas (I received it as a gift from my parents), but I absolutely love it. I had been complaining that I felt like my face never really felt 100% clean, and it’s kind of crazy to see what else was left on my face after even after washing.

ChapStick Medicated Lip Balm – I’ve always been a chapstick person, and I don’t know what originally turned me on to the medicated kind, but it is seriously my favorite. I love the cooling sensation that it provides and always leaves my lips feeling soft.

Oil of Olay Complete Moisturizer – I’ve been using this moisturizer for as long as I can remember. It’s the same one my mom used/uses, and it’s always worked for me, so why change a good thing?

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – I already told you guys about this intense moisturizer before, but it continues to be a daily ritual. I use it anywhere, from my hands to my face (sometimes I slather a little extra on my under eyes and definitely on the hands before bed) and it feels amazing on my sensitive skin.

Kenra Volume Spray 25 – I’m a big fan of hairspray. I have some of the limpest hair around, so if I don’t use any, it’s falling flat on my head, right in my face. And, sorry ozone, but aerosol is the only way to go. I’ll interchange between the 25 and 18 versions of their hairspray, but they’re definitely my favorite as of the last year or so. I’m super thankful to have a mom as a hairdresser who can get these items from the beauty supply stores!

Redken Fashion Waves 07 Texturizing Sea Spray – I guess it might be a bit of a stretch to say that I use this everyday, but it is a semi-recent find for me that I use on days where I want to give my hair a little extra “oomph.”

Redken Fashion Waves 07 Texturizing Sea Spray

It works on both wet hair or dry, and while it doesn’t necessarily give me “waves” (again, my hair is as straight as it comes), it does provide a bit of extra texture and volume.

That photo above is my hair from yesterday – not washed, with some texture spray spritzed on to dry hair in the morning…however, the photo was taken at about 7pm and hadn’t been brushed since about 7AM. Don’t judge. Winking smile

Hair Straightener – I use my straightener just about every day, whether I just washed my hair or am taking a day off, or whether I want it curly or straight (I know, I still owe you guys a video on how I curl my hair with it!). My mom treated me to my current straightener a couple of years ago and it’s great. I think the key to a good straightener is making sure it gets hot enough – I swear, it’s the only way my hair holds a curl!

So how about you guys? What hair and beauty products do you use (almost) every day!?

I definitely use my clarisonic every single day too. I wouldn't trade it for anything! I'll have to look into a few of the products you mentioned like the Olay cream. I've never seen that one before.

I love posts like this. I'm always curious about what others use and what I need/might want to add to my "beauty regimen." Hmm..let's see, I use either my straightener or curling wand almost daily. Oh, and Proactive+. It has done wonders for my acne prone skin. I've been using it since Christmas, and I've been so pleased!

Inlove the First Aid Oatmeal Repair mask! It's super hydrating for winter. I also couldn't live without my Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle spray. I use it as a heat protectant for me and a detangler for my little ones!

Love this post! I'm always curious what other people use and recommend-especially because my hair is super fine and limp too! I've heard nothing but good things about Clarisonic-maybe a Valentine's gift to myself? ;) Great post!

Great job on wearing the daily sunscreen! I have been curious about the Clarisonic for a while, but I use Retin-A (which is my daily anti-wrinkle and anti-zit must) so a bit worried it will irritate. Do you find it to be gentle? I had to laugh about your aerosol hairspray remark because I totally agree - it is the ONLY way to go. I also have fine hair that needs some help in the volume department - I have become hooked on the Sea Marine line of shampoo & conditioner from h2o+. And my go-to beauty product is a bronzing SPF tinted moisturizer made by Stila - a super small bit mixed in with normal face moisturizer gives me just enough glow for the colder months here in Michigan.

Ahhh, what is it about posts like these that are just so fun to read?? I guess we all like to be a little nosy sometimes and take a closer look into the lives of others. My go-to products lately? I've been loving the Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer for a while now - it seems to work well with my skin type and feels great post-shower. I typically shower before bed (saves time in the morning since I have a 30 minute commute to work), and let my hair air dry. In the morning, I just fluff it and add some flexible hold hairspray (Pantene) to add some oompf to it. I've been using this "method" for a while and it seems to be working well. The bonus? I don't have to blow dry or curl so I can avoid the extra heat damage.

I wish I could have a routine like that! If I went to bed with wet hair and let it air dry, it would wake up absolutely gross!

As creepy as it sounds, I love checking out what other girls have in their bathroom! This is a great post idea and I keep meaning to do the same myself. I love hairspray too and use TIGI hairspray. It's like $30 but totally worth it and smells amazing!

I really am impressed with how it removes excess dirt and makeup. I haven't been using it too long at a consistent rate, so I'm not sure I've noticed a difference in my skin yet...we shall see though!
