I’ve become quite fond of sharing things in a list form. I guess maybe that stems from the fact that I enjoy reading things in list form because they’re quick, to the point, and easy to read. And usually, they provide some fun insight into whatever it is I’m reading.
So today, I’ve got a little list for you! And we’re talking about health and beauty items.
I have a full arsenal of health and beauty supplies, makeup, and hair products that I use often, sometimes, sporadically, or on special occasions. But I also have a small handful of products that have recently become (or have long been!) everyday favorites of mine. Here’s a look!
Always Sheer Dailies – I know I shared these just recently as a pregnancy must have, but these are really great for anyone, everyday.
The Always Sheer Dailies (who are kind enough to be sponsoring this post!) offer great protection in all kinds of situations. They are super thin and comfortable enough to wear every day, to the point where I honestly don’t even feel like I’m wearing them. They absolutely help with that “shower fresh” feel (especially now during pregnancy, too!)
Kenra Volume Spray 25 – I’m a big fan of hairspray. I have some of the limpest hair around, so if I don’t use any, it’s falling flat on my head, right in my face.
And, sorry ozone, but aerosol is the only way to go. I’m super thankful to have a mom as a hairdresser who can get these items from the beauty supply stores!
Oil of Olay Complete Moisturizer – I’ve been using this moisturizer since, oh I don’t know, at least junior high school?!
It’s the same one my mom used/uses, and it’s always worked for me, so why change a good thing?
(FYI: I decided to snap these pics on a Wednesday afternoon which is my work from home day…aka my day off from makeup and hair washing )
Right now, I use it just in the mornings, since I’ve recently discovered a new night cream that I’m really enjoying (keep reading!) but I love it. Especially the fact that it already has SPF built right into it.
Chapstick Medicated Lip Balm – My love for this stuff runs deep, my friends!
I love the cooling sensation that it provides and always leaves my lips feeling soft. And I’m pretty sure I’ve developed an addiction to it, but there could certainly be worse things, right?
The Honest Company Face + Body Lotion in Purely Simple – I first shared this product a couple of months ago, and it has quickly become one of my favorites.
While I still have my favorite preggo belly lotion, I’ve been using the Purely Simple from Honest on my legs and arms every day after getting out of the shower. I really like how it’s unscented so it doesn’t mess with the scents from my perfume. And speaking of…
Daisy by Marc Jacobs Perfume – I started using this in February after turning in my Sephora perfume sampler certificate and I now wear it almost daily!
Foxbrim Ultra Lift Night Cream – I know I told you guys about this last week, but it’s worth mentioning again.
I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and it really has done an amazing job at keeping my skin from getting super dry and itchy like it usually does in the winter months (especially under the eyes!). I haven’t had to deal with that much at all this year, and I’m crediting this night cream for it! I love the easy pump dispenser, too.
Foxbrim 100% Pure Organic Rosehip Seed Oil – Again, another one I already mentioned, and is probably one of the newest ones to be added to this list, but I’m excited to keep using it and see if I experience any noticeable results. Julie actually has a really great post explaining all the benefits of rosehip seed oil (which is what prompted me to try it in the first place!) so I’d definitely recommend checking that out if you’re interested.

I actually almost titled this post “Bathroom Essentials,” since six out of the eight of them would be found right in my bathroom…but then I thought people might get the wrong idea on what the post is really about.
So there they are!
How about you guys? What products are on your everyday use list?!
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Always. All opinions are my own, and I thank you all for your continued support surrounding sponsored content on STSL! <3

My everyday is a great face wash to either end or start the day. I use the make up eraser and a new product by Tata Harper that’s helping to brighten and even out my skin tone.

Courtney, thanks so much for the Foxbrim shoutout in this post! We’re thrilled that our products have worked out so well for you, and saved you from itchy winter skin! ;) -Jamie from the Foxbrim team

too funny – I use 3 of them also – I started using the oil of olay for dry patches because it was the lightest feel of anything I had ever used (hate feeling ‘stuff’ on my face) – and now I use it religiously and find the spf in it stays all day long – a must use every day – I’m glad I got in the habit of using it, now that I understand how important sun protection is
personal ? – you can email me – does your mom have a local shop she works out of , or is she homebased – trying still to find a place I’m comfortable at – thanks

I’ve been using Clinique’s Dramatically Different moisturizing gel for years and I love it! I’m prone to dry skin that still manages to look oily, and this is the perfect solution for me. I’m also crazy about Neutrogena’s stress control line for washing my face.

My skin has been quite dry, so I started using Josie Maran’s facial cleansing oil. Great product. Love her sunscreen as well.

Can you give us a hairspray tutorial showing how/when you use your hairspray? Is it right after you blow dry? Do you flip your head upside down? Spray the whole thing? I have so many questions, haha! A blow drying one might be good too… :)
Courtney says
Oh goodness, I could certainly try, haha! I use hairspray after I’m done blow drying. I’ve tried using before and it just never seems to set right. I flip my head upside down to dry it but then once it’s re-brushed and “set” then I spray the whole thing (mostly the front though). Not sure if that helps, lol? :)

I have discovered two really great hairsprays. My hair is very fine as well, and some hairsprays are very “wet” (for the lack of a better word), they moisten a large area and actually weigh my hair down…really weird. Some hairsprays smell funky, some have such a strong spray action that it blows my hair strands in a direction where they aren’t supposed to be. LOL…!!
To get to the point: the hairspray I have been using for about 1.5 years is from Alterna. The name is “Working Hairspray”; it’s also anti-aging. The hold is easily buildable without glueing your hair together (aka helmet head).
The second, absolutely amazing hairspray is from Oribe. It’s not inexpensive, but it lasts a long time it also smells absolutely heavenly..!! The name is “Super-fine Hair Spray”. It’s sheer, flexible, and provides the ultra-dry finish I like…
Hope that helps.

Thank you Courtney and Gloria!

I clicked back to your favourite preggo belly lotion and bought a bottle later that afternoon. I am 16 weeks pregnant with my first and I had bought a belly butter that I couldn’t stand (SUCH a greasy mess!!). Anyways, the Eucerin lotion is amazing. Thank you so much for the recommendation :)
Courtney says
Oh, that’s great to hear! It’s definitely been working SO well for me, too :)

One of the skincare products I have been using every single day is the Peptide Serum from Foxbrim. It gives a lot of moisture without being sticky, and I have noticed that the fine lines around my eyes are greatly reduced. My skintone is more even as well. At night I use it under my night cream, which is from Foxbrim as well. I’m quite impressed with some of their products..!
To exfoliate my super sensitive skin I have been using the same product for 10 years..!! It’s Kanebo’s “Silk Exfoliating Powder”. I just mix a small amount with some water in my hand until it’s creamy, and then massage it onto my wet face. My skin always feels like polished afterwards…super soft..!! I have tried different products but have always come back to Kanebo.

The importance of daily skin care routines, including practices like micro needling, cannot be overstated. Micro needling. Micro needling, a process involving fine needles that create tiny punctures in the skin, plays a significant role in maintaining skin health. This technique not only improves the skin’s appearance by stimulating collagen production but also enhances its ability to protect against environmental damage. Regular skin care, as highlighted through easily digestible lists, is crucial for keeping our skin healthy, resilient, and functioning optimally every day.
