Hey guys and dolls! Happy daylight savings – did you remember to turn your clocks forward??
You know, I almost get disappointed when I have to miss out on an hour of sleep, but then as soon as I think about the fact that it’s going to be light until 7:00pm, all negative thoughts go out the window. Let there be light!
So yesterday, I pretty much took the day off from blogging; I had to work a short shift in the morning, spent the afternoon with some of my girlfriends, and came home and crashed on the couch for the evening with an annoying headache.
But while I was relaxing and catching up on my Google Reader, I came across this fun little A-Z survey on Janetha’s blog and I immediately loved the layout and concept of it. Sometimes surveys can take too long to answer and make me have to think too hard. But, oddly enough, I was able to cruise through pretty much all of the questions on this one and found it rather fun.
SO…here we go!
A is for age: I just turned the ripe ‘ol age of 28 a little over a month ago. Gosh, I love birthdays.
B is for breakfast today: Anyone have any guesses? I’ll give ya a hint…it’s the same breakfast I’ve had for the past three days.
C is for currently craving: The other day, I made the mistake of browsing Pinterest while I was hungry and wound up making a batch of these…
They’re incredible, decadent, and dangerous…and I cannot stop nibbling on them. I promise, I’ll be sharing with you soon.
D is for dinner tonight: No idea. Hopefully a trip to the grocery store later this afternoon will spark an idea for me.
E is for favorite type of exercise: I love supersets and circuits – they keep things fast-paced, are super effective, and allow me to incorporate my beloved weights that I can’t seem to get enough of lately. You can check out some of my favorites here!
F is for an irrational fear: I’m not sure if any of my fears are necessarily irrational – I have fears of failure, having my house broken into, and death by drowning – aren’t they rational? I’m also sort of afraid of worms…okay, that’s irrational. There we go.
G is for gross food: Olives. I just can’t.
H is for hometown: This question always makes me second guess myself…is my hometown where I was born or where I grew up? Either way, I’ll answer both: I was born in Troy, NY and I grew up through my school age years in East Greenbush, NY.
I is for something important: Family & Friends. Without them, I wouldn’t be nearly the person I am today.
J is for current favorite jam: I’m gonna take this question as a food-related one, even though I know it’s probably referring to music, but since food is sort of my thang…Polaner Raspberry All Fruit Spread. Always a favorite. You guys already know my favorite music jam.
K is for kids: None yet…just of the furry variety.
But the non-furry variety is in the future for sure.
L is for current location: Upstate, NY, at my house, in my office. How’s that for specific!
M is for the most recent way you spent money: I spent a $1.30 to rent Footloose from Redbox last night.
Being a former dancer myself, I’m always game for any movies that involve dancing, but usually try to wait for when I have an opportunity to watch ‘em by myself (Jay is not a fan). Unfortunately, I wasn’t a huge fan of this one myself – it was pretty cheesy.
N is for something you need: Currently, I could use a personal financial advisor, a house cleaner, and a skinny caramel macchiato from Starbucks. That’s not asking for too much, right?
O is for occupation: Former teacher turned Personal Trainer, baby.
P is for pet peeve: Not returning phone calls and the smacking sound that some people make with their lips when the chew. Ughh, I can’t stand that one!
Q is for a quote: I’ve got a couple favorites…
R is for random fact about you: I can tie a cherry stem in my mouth in less than 10 seconds.
What can I say…it’s a gift.
S is for favorite healthy snack: How in the world do I choose? There’s so many! But some favorites as of late would be: Chobani with fresh berries, banana with peanut butter, Wasa Crackers with The Laughing Cow cheese and strawberries, apple slices with Honey Cinnamon Peanut Butter, baby carrots with hummus…I could go on all day.
T is for favorite treat: Ice cream. No doubt about it.
U is for something that makes you unique: Believe it or not, this was the toughest question for me and the one that I saved for last. That makes me sort of sad – I want to be unique!
V is for favorite vegetable: Oooo, tough one! I love ‘em all, but I’ll go with a longtime favorite of mine: carrots. I once went through a phase where I ate so many carrots that my skin turned orange. I kid you not!
W is for today’s workout: Just finished this one, actually! I started with an easy, 20 minute warm-up on the treadmill, followed by my 25 Minute Full Body Blast. Whew!
X is for X-rays you’ve had: I’m pretty sure the only x-rays I’ve had have been on my teeth…and then I paid a small fortune for them. Notabigfanofthedentist.
Y is for yesterday’s highlight: Spending quality time scrapbooking with some of my closest girlfriends for Rachel’s Wedding and Kathryn’s wedding.
I can’t wait for this summer.
Z is for your time zone: This is an interesting question I’ve never seen before, but Eastern!
*****
