I know I already raved about this weekend’s weather to you all yesterday, but the great weather continues and, I swear, I’m in 192,428x a better mood! Plus, the warmth and sunshine makes me just that more motivated to get outside and be active. Both over the weekend and even yesterday, I spent as much time as I could in that sunshine, and Lucas thoroughly enjoyed it, too. And of course, I had to have some comfy, appropriate “play” clothes while we were out running around.
Okay so speaking of comfy play clothes, how adorable is this outfit?
And how much does the jacket tied around the waist totally bring you back to the 90s?
I recently had the opportunity to test out some of the new gear from Champion’s brand new spring 2015 line. With this line, they’re also kicking off their All Gain, No Pain™ campaign, which introduces numerous athletic wear styles made for added comfort.
The Champion Women’s PerforMax® Marathon Printed Packable Jacket is definitely my favorite item out of them all.
I love how it’s roomy, yet still designed to be semi-fitted without looking sloppy. Plus…thumbholes. An automatic WIN in my book.
Oh, and it even rolls right up into the hood for easy packing/storing. Love it!
The material of the Champion Women’s PerforMax® Marathon Tee is absolute perfection.
It’s ultra lightweight and has an added, asymmetrical mesh back for ventilation, which adds a fun design element.
I’ll admit that I’m usually super picky about my workout bottoms (tight waistbands…muffin tops…no go!), so I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried on the Champion Women’s PerforMax® Marathon Knee Tight.
They have a nice, wide waistband (heck YES!), and the PerforMax® Vapor technology dries faster to help maintain optimal body temperature. The added mesh lined inner key pocket in the waistband is also an added plus.
Finally, the Champion® Marathon Sports Bra. I’ll be honest here…the bra is really, super comfortable, but I’m not sure it’s one that I’d purchase on my own, only for the mere fact that it’s not padded.
As a member of the small chest club, I always appreciate a little extra padding up there, to help give some more shape.
But that aside, everything else about it is top notch…and I suppose I could always try to add in my own pads.
Ultimately, the premise of the All Gain, No Pain™ campaign is that the can-do-comfort apparel helps you do more (run more, train more, climb more, etc.), through the benefits provided by the products in their Spring 2015 line, including the Champion Vapor® Fast Drying Technology, Chafe Resistant Seams and Ultra Light Fabric. And after spending a full day in the products, I can attest to the fact that they are all super comfortable and definitely something I’d purchase with my own money.
I’d also recommend checking out their campaign on social media, too! They’re celebrating Real Champions – everyday people/athletes who pursue their personal fitness journey and goals through something (or someone) that has inspired them along the way. You can follow along with the #RealChampions hashtag, as well as the ##AllGainNoPain hashtag, as well.
Based on consumer insights, Champion has identified comfort as the key driver for athletic wear and thus has created a line of innovative apparel engineered for added comfort. “All Gain No Pain,” celebrates all you can do when you’ve got quality athletic apparel that feels light, dry, and comfortable. Cute outfit! Hah, I tied my jacket around my waist this am and was able to run/walk in a short sleeved shirt. Finally, spring! My little guy is 21 mos tomorrow and he is loving being outside again.
I’m in that “club” you mentioned…what sports bras do you like? I haven’t found anything with padding that I love, but that sounds like such a good idea. Especially since sports bras and tech tees are pretty much see through. I’d rather leave a little to the imagination ;)

jacket around the waist is such a throwback! But I love the jacket- and thumb holes are automatic brownie points in my book.
Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona says
That jacket is super cute. I like when they have a little extra room in them, you can add an extra layer or two.
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment says
Cute jacket! Target has come a long way and they have so many stylish options now.
Sam @ PancakeWarriors says
oh I love that the jacket zips up easy for storage/travel. I’ve got to check out these marathon knee carpis. They are the perfect length. Thanks for sharing you look super cute!
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday says
It’s so cool that the jacket folds up into the hood like that! I can definitely sympathize with wanting a little more padding in the sports bra… do you have one you recommend? My favorite from VSX got redesigned and now they don’t have it. But I love the outfit nonetheless!
Kris says
The Champion brand is really great at Target.
Sorry but those top and bottom ads on your blog are incredibly annoying.
Courtney says
Thanks for the feedback, Kris. I actually have an inquiry in on them because I was thinking the same thing.
Kris says
That top one is monstrous and can’t close the bottom one. I know ads are part of blogs but these are just so in your face and don’t remember any ads on your blog being so intrusive before. Hope they get smaller :)
Alyssa @ Renaissancerunnergirl says
Love that jacket, the little thumb holes are always a winner in my book. Question though – the wide waistband on the leggings looks comfy, but does the fabric actually seem more sweat-wicking with the new tech?
Courtney says
Good question! While I didn’t get super sweaty in them yet, I would say that I didn’t seem to notice too much of a difference in them compared to other pants I already have. That said though, I’d need to give ’em a good, sweaty test to be sure ;)

If you like sports bras with a little padding, the Ayni bra from Fabletics is fantastic. I now own three of them. Its listed as medium support, but as a member of the IBTC, its plenty for me for running, bootcamp, etc. The cups offer a little boost and shape, without looking obviously padded.
Courtney says
Oh wow, good to know…I hadn’t looked into those before. Thanks, Rebecca!
Kristy @ Southern In Law says
Truth be known; generally speaking I choose long sleeve workout tops based on whether or not they have thumb holes haha.

Cute gear, great review, and I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who needs to add a little to my sports bra. :D
