And The Diagnosis Is…

By Courtney 9 Comments

Well, the good news is…nothing is broken!

The bad news is…I’m supposed to hobble around in this hot getup…

Fortunately, Cody doesn’t seem to mind it. ;)

After getting x-rayed, the doctor said that I just had some severe bruising and swelling, which I’ll have to treat with RICE:

Rest

Ice

Compress

Elevate

I was very happy to hear that nothing was broken, which I had assumed anyways; but it still doesn’t make it hurt any less!

Lunch

By the time I got home from the ER, it was time to make some lunch. The trusty ‘ol “Monday Usual” was brought back in style today!

Veggie “platter” with garlic hommus

A vanilla Chobani with fresh strawberries & blueberries

One of my favorite Monday meals ever. I also ended up snacking on a leftover piece of cornbread from last night’s dinner.

As I was snapping my photos of lunch today, somebody else wanted in on the action…

The hubby was able to capture the moment while home on his lunch break. I’ll tell ya, this guy is somethin’ else! (Does anyone happen to recognize that seksi shirt I’m wearing?!?) ;)

Now I’m off to run some errands for school – I can’t believe we’re starting back next week already. I swear this summer has been flying by. Sheesh!

I’m also hoping to have some time later this afternoon to do a little cupcake baking – I have a new combination up my sleeve.

Question for the Afternoon:

Do you have any foods/meals that you find you tend to eat at certain or specific times/days/etc.?

Yogurt is usually considered a breakfast food, but I seem to only eat it for lunch. I'm sorry to hear about your leg. I hope it heals quickly

The vanilla chobani looks so good!! I love adding fruit to my yogurt like that. I usually get the strawberry light and fit and add grapes to it. Give it a try because it's amazing!
