Hello from Wildwood, NJ!
We arrived here on Friday evening and despite a day full of crappy weather on Saturday, we are having a blast! The weather on Sunday was absolutely perfect for beachin’ it, so that’s exactly what we did.
Thank goodness, Lucas is no longer interested in eating the sand. Instead, he’s loving playing in it, running all over it, and playing in the (mini) waves.
This kid is loving life right now.
As are we.
We all spent the morning and early afternoon down at the beach, then spent a couple of hours up at the pool before showering and getting ready to head out for dinner…
Because ice cream from the Sea Shell while you’re on vacation is totally acceptable.
Cheers to fun with family and delicious ice cream!
Ohhhh, these sundaes…
I went with my favorite – a caramel sundae, with a scoop of Cookies & Cream and a scoop of Toffee something…can’t remember exactly what. But whatever it was, it seriously hit the spot.
After we all devoured our ice cream, we made a last minute decision to hit up the boardwalk so Lucas could go on a few rides. He and Uncle Dan got to ride together in style, since he’s still recovering from his ACL surgery.
I’m glad we only bought a small amount of tickets because in the end, the only ride Lucas was even remotely interested in was the convoy trucks. We had to go on those more than once…and only on the blue one.
He’s such a character.
And now, we’ve got Lucas put to bed and we’re all hanging out on the balcony enjoying a few drinks and waiting for some pizza to get delivered to the room.
Gotta love vacation!
