Hello, Saturday. So nice to see you!
After waking up and taking care of a little clean-up around the house, I was more than ready for a nice, delicious breakfast. Today, buckwheat was the name of the game!
Oh yes, and of course, some coffee.
I used the same base for today’s buckwheat as I did last time, but it was the toppings that made the meal. Not only was there PB involved, but…
Remember last week when I had to make some carrot cake cupcakes? Well, I’ve had a few extras lying around the house…and half of one happened to end up on top of my breakfast bowl. Oh yes, those two little white blobs are absolutely cream cheese frosting.
This was one serious bowl of buckwheat. Aaaaaamazing!

Time to go get myself ready…Jay and I are headed out on a little day trip which is going to have us crossing state borders!!
Question for the Day:
What’s the last state (or country!) you visited?
Your breakfast looks so good! I need to start stepping out of the box instead of having the same thing everyday!!! The last place I visited was Doha, Qatar! My sister and finance are over there… it was sooo different but alot of fun!! They also had some amazing food over there….. lots of hummus!!
Have a fun day trip!! I can’t wait to read about it later :)
I never had buckwheat as a cereal, I’ll have to try it. :)
We live on the border of PA and NJ in upstate NY, so we visit them quite often. The last state I visited for fun was Nevada, though.
What a fabulous breakfast to wake up to, with a little treat on top! Have a good day with you hubs! The last time I went anywhere, it was to sunny Florida. Can’t wait for warmth!!!
Ooh, I love day trips! The last time I crossed state borders was earlier this month to surprise my mom in Michigan for her book launch! Even though I love living in Virginia, I sure do miss my fam! Hope you have a great day!
Your mom wrote a book? That’s awesome! :)
I know! So exciting for her! If you’re looking for a good read (and I’m not just saying that cuz she’s my mom ;) ) here’s the link!

Have fun on your little road trip! The last state I was in was probably Indiana – boring, right?
Oooh! Have fun! :D Last state was NY, and last country was France!
Last time I’ve crossed state borders was on my trip to NYC! I LOVE new york, and I want to move there ASAP!
That breakfast looks wonderful…but didn’t you give up sweets for lent?? Or was it just sweets at night?
Just sweets after dinner :)
Have fun! The last trip I went on was Europe! We did cross over to MD this afternoon. But that’s 10 minutes away, so that doesn’t count :)
I’ve never tried buckwheat, but that bowl looks like a bowl of deliciousness!
I have been trying to buy buckwheat for the past month and no luck! I’m so jealous lol That carrot cake topping is so smart, love it :D
Oregon :) My husband and I live near Seattle, WA and decided to drive down to Portland one weekend in February! I just LOVE that city!
Yayyy courtney! I am so excited that I won our giveaway :) I just emailed you – thanks girly :)
The last state i visited was FLORIDA. Someone please take me back to the warmth, ASAP!!!
My husband enjoys cupcakes, cookies and cake for breakfast, too! :) My last state visited was Virginia/Maryland (we went to DC) and the last country was Italy for our honeymoon…ahhh, I wish I was still there!
The last country I visited was Costa Rica!!!!! :D
