Snacking has always been the name of my game, and I will forever and always be a snacker at heart.
I’ll usually have favorites that come and go, but I have to tell you about my latest snack obsession…toast with cottage cheese and fresh fruit.
Part of the reason I love it is because it’s quick and easy to put together. Another reason I love it is because it’s packed with protein, too, thanks to the cottage cheese.
And speaking of cottage cheese, you guys have heard about Muuna, right?
I was first introduced to Muuna a couple of months ago, and ever since, I’ve been snagging it at the grocery store on the regular.
Muuna is available in bright, single- and multi-serve containers, but the single serve containers are perfect for me to bring to work for a mid-morning or afternoon snack. They also come in six varieties, including Strawberry, Blueberry, Pineapple, Peach, Mango and Lowfat Plain (the two multi-serve containers come in both Lowfat Plain and Classic Plain).
And I can tell you, whether you were already a fan of cottage cheese (me) or tend to turn your nose up to it (my husband) you absolutely must give Muuna a try. Even if you don’t think you like cottage cheese but you like Greek yogurt? Then you have to give it a shot. It’s different, and it just has this melt-in-your-mouth creaminess that is unlike any other cottage cheeses I’ve tried.
They’re delicious on their own, and they’re delicious “doctored up” with some extra fruit mixed in, too (pear + cinnamon is a favorite!).
And, of course, it’s incredibly delicious spread on toast, too! Making for a perfect light breakfast (I’d need double, personally) or any-time-of-day snack.

I also love the nutrition stats on these little gems, too. The fruit-on-the-bottom flavors each have 130 calories, 9-11g sugar, and 15g protein per 5.3oz container, and the Lowfat Plain has 120 calories, 4g sugar, and 19g protein per 5.3oz container. Not only that, but all Muuna products contain no high fructose corn syrup or stevia and are free of artificial flavors, colors and sweeteners. Muuna is also gluten-free and certified Kosher!
