I know I just did one of these a few weeks ago, but I’m bringing it back again!
5:00am – Alarm goes off. Holy crap, I am tired. Hit snooze. And continue to hit snooze until…
6:00am – Alarm goes off again, and I realize that it’s going to stop going off if I hit snooze again since I’ve already been snoozing for a freakin’ hour. So much for this morning’s workout!
6:05am – Finally drag myself out of bed (I really am dragging this morning…still exhausted and my whole body is sore from Monday and Tuesday’s workouts…in a good way though!) and hop in the shower. Debate on whether or not I can get away without washing my hair…I can’t.
6:20am – Do the whole morning routine: brush teeth, put in my eyeballs (contacts), do makeup, blow dry hair
6:55am – Check the monitor and Lucas is awake but just chillin’ in his crib (with his teddy over his face) so I let him hang for a bit more while I iron my clothes and curl my hair.
7:05am – Lucas makes his presence known and he’s ready to get up for the day! Jay goes in this morning to get him up, change his diaper (I’m told I lucked out, it was a gross one), and get him dressed for the day while I finish up getting ready.
7:10am – Time to hang out with my buddy! Unfortunately, I can’t give him my full attention because I’m always running around like a mad woman in the mornings, but we play some peek-a-boo which is really the perfect game for us to play in the morning while I’m rounding up my stuff for the day.
7:40am – Pack up lunch bag with breakfast and lunch, make coffee to bring to work with me. My mother-in-law is watching Lucas at our house today, so that means one less step of having to take him to the babysitter. Score!
7:45am – Smother Lucas with all sorts of kisses and hugs then run out the door for work.
8:10am – Arrive at work, take care of the usual morning routine with checking emails and tickets.
8:30am – Dig in to my lunch bag for the first part of my breakfast. I’m not super hungry for whatever reason, so I start by having my yogurt with some granola and my coffee.
This yogurt, FYI, is incredible.
9:30am – Take a few minutes to place a quick order online at Sears. I meant to do it the night before but, you know how that goes.
10:00am – Snack time! The usual suspects were in attendance.
Then it’s back to work, work, work.
12:30pm – Start to get hungry again so it’s time for some lunch. Today’s salad is freakin’ delicious, thanks to the chicken I prepped on Sunday and some super creamy and delicious avocado.
I continue to work while eating my lunch since I know I have to scoot out quickly once I’m finished.
1:15pm – I get an email confirmation that my order is ready to pick up from Sears, so I finish up a few emails and a quick call with a customer, then I’m out the door.
1:40pm – Arrive at Sears to pick up my order. But first things first, let me backtrack a bit…
You guys may remember from a couple of months ago that I’m partnering with Sears to be a part of their Blogger Squad. Recently, they invited me to try out one of the many services that they offer, and provided me a gift card to use as a part of my experience.
The timing was actually perfect. I’ve had a couple of random things that I’ve been wanting to buy but just haven’t had the chance to make it out to search for them. So I checked out the Sears website and discovered that they had both items I’d been looking for: a snowsuit for Lucas, and some dumbbells for me!
I purchased this snowsuit for Lucas and these 8lb dumbbells for me (some shoulder exercises I’ve been doing have me in limbo with weight selection…sometimes the 5 pounders were too light, but my 10 pounders are too heavy). I shopped like I would have if I’d been placing an order online, but instead of having it shipped, I chose the free “Pick Up In Store” option.
Sears actually has an In-Vehicle Pickup service which is really cool; you buy online then download their Shop Your Way® app. Once you arrive at the store, you “Shop’in” to let them know you’re there.
Then once you’re checked in, the countdown starts for your goods to arrive!
The In-Vehicle Pickup has a guaranteed wait time of 5 minutes or less, and sure enough, they came out with my order in just under 4 minutes. I was quite impressed with how quick the process was, and how easily I could incorporate it into a busy day. *Check out the end of this post for some more details and a chance to win a Sears gift card!
1:50pm – Well that was fast…I’m already ready to head back to work. Since my trip ended up going super quick, I still have some time to spare and realize I’m in the mood for a little something at Starbucks. I text my boss and my co-worker to see if they’re interested (all holiday drinks are BOGO right now from 2-5pm!) and of course they are…
So I swing by, pick up our order, and head back to work. I ordered myself my first tall iced Caramel Brulee latte of the season (SO pumped it’s back! I was in looove last year).
2:10pm – I make it back to work, deliver the goods, and get back to some stuff I was working on before I left.
3:40pm – Tie up some loose ends and I’m outta there! I start driving to the babysitter’s house and quickly remember that Lucas isn’t there today. Ay yi yi…continue on my way home. I decide that if Lucas is napping, I’ll possibly attempt to squeeze in a workout…only time shall tell!
4:00pm – Arrive at home and discover that Lucas is napping (his afternoon naps are so hit or miss these days, so ya never know). I chat with my MIL a bit about his day (it was a good one!) and then she heads home.
4:20pm – Well, he’s still asleep so I decide to go for the workout. I’m not really in the mood to sweat much, so I opt for a quick PiYo workout. Yeah, I should know by now that PiYo makes me sweat.
Ahh well…there are worse things.
5:00pm – Jay arrives home from work and Lucas wakes up from his nap. Talk about perfect timing! We all hang out for a bit and play with Lucas while Jay and I catch up about our days.
5:15pm – I start getting dinner together. Luckily, it’ll be ready in about 5 minutes, thanks to my decision to just have leftovers tonight. Thanks to dinners from the last three nights, are fridge is packed full of things to choose from…
Lucas has some leftover Vegetarian Enchilada Casserole, Jay has a leftover cheeseburger and some of last night’s chicken parm casserole, and I have the other leftover cheeseburger with a piece of the casserole, too. No extra veggies tonight, wasn’t feelin’ em.
6:00pm – Dinner is done, I clean up Lucas and we go play in the living room while Jay cleans up the dishes. The rest of my evening is devoted entirely to this little guy since I barely got to see him at all, all day. We play peek-a-boo, sing songs, dance, and have fun with some more toys and blocks.
7:00pm – Tubby time! I give Lucas his tubby tonight (Jay and I tend to rotate back and forth) and we have fun splashing around for a bit. His latest thing is having water dumped on his head, which he thinks is just hilarious.
7:20pm – I put Lucas in his PJ’s, we say goodnight to daddy, I give him his bottle, and we read a few stories before bed.
Ignore the crazy post-workout hair…
He’s in bed by 7:30 and asleep in no time, despite the fact that he woke up from his nap at 5pm…sometimes, he’s super sleepy.
7:35pm – I prep and pack Lucas’s lunch for tomorrow, along with some leftovers for myself for lunch, too. I’m borderline sick of them at this point, so it’s a good thing they’re almost gone!
8:00pm – Pretty sure things are good to go for tomorrow. I grab a seat on the couch and relax with Jay while working a bit on this post and watching The Middle.
9:00pm – Finish up this post (posts that include sponsored content easily take me the longest to write – I never want anything to come across as too “sales-ish”), schedule it for Thursday morning, and close up the computer.
9:05pm – I’m typing in the future here, but I can pretty much guarantee that the rest of this evening will include dessert, Modern Family, and bed. Hopefully all before 10pm!

Sears Brings More To You!
To demonstrate all the ways Sears offers more to its members, they recently launched a campaign called #MoreToYou to surprise real people based on their actual tweets, and the campaign captures some pretty great reactions in an online series of short videos.
One of the videos, Sending Your Child Off to College, totally made me tear up the first time I watched it! Granted, I’m nowhere near having to send my baby off to college, but sometimes the thought of that just really pulls at my heart strings because I know it’s going to happen some day, and I’m going to be a hot mess over it.
Each of the videos in the series highlights one of the many ways that Sears…brings more to you.
Not only does Sears offer In-Vehicle Pickup like I utilized, but they also have “Anyone, Anywhere Pickup,” which allows you to shop online for yourself or a loved one and have the order picked up by anyone, at any Sears store across the country. Something that I’m sure could come in handy for many of you with the holiday season quickly approaching!
So to get you started, Sears has offered to give away a $50 gift card to a lucky STSL reader.
And to sweeten the deal, and thank you all for reading the blog, I’m also going to throw in an extra $50 gift card for a second STSL reader!
To enter, just leave a comment on this post saying what you’d want to use your gift card on (Something for yourself? A gift for a family member or friend? Would you utilize any of their pickup services?). I’ll choose two random winners on Monday, 11/17.
Good Luck, and thank you all for reading. I cannot thank you all enough for being such fabulous readers and I appreciate you all just so freakin’ much!
