Do Just That {Giveaway CLOSED}

By Courtney 484 Comments

So while I was in Target the other day buying pumpkin waffles, I also happened to come across a few other goodies…one of which is this Planters Nut-rition Energy Mix peanut butter.

IMG_8076

It was on sale and I had a coupon (which was supposed to be off of two but I still got the deal anyway – score!) so I figured I’d give it a shot since the cinnamon, raisin, granola nut combo sounded wayyyy up my alley.

I enjoyed a glob of it mid-morning today along with a golden delicious apple.

IMG_8081

The verdict? It’s pretty good. I’m not sure I’d buy it again, but I’ll definitely finish up the jar. I don’t think I’d enjoy it on a sandwich (then again, who knows?) but I do like it as a dipper.

A couple of hours later, I took a break from some work since hubby came home for lunch and put together a big ‘ol yogurt bowl for myself. It was just sounding too good at that moment to pass up.

IMG_8083

I paired a plain Chobani (plus 3 spoonfuls of vanilla chocolate chunk CHO mixed in) with some fresh blueberries, raspberries, and a mix of Cascadian Farms and Love Grown Foods granola.

Of course, as soon as I put my bowl down, Cody was right there to keep watch over it.

IMG_8084

So as I mentioned, that lovely bowl right there included some of my granola EVER – the LOVE.

You may remember a couple of weeks ago when I received a very fun and generous Love Drop in the mail.

Well, to be honest, I’m starting to acquire more granola than I can consume. Crazy, right? Well, since I’m the only granola eater in the house, it starts to pile up pretty quickly, so I figured that since Love Grown is all about “spreading the love,” today would be as good a day as any to go ahead and do just that.

So I’m going to go ahead and give away some Love Grown granola goodness to three lucky STSL readers. Just leave a nice and positive comment below and you’ll be entered to win.

I always love reading all of your positive thoughts and stuff anyways. Winking smile

I’ll announce the winners in my afternoon post tomorrow. Good luck!!

Thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway and shared all of your positive comments – I loved reading ALL of them! Congrats to our three lucky winners…

I have seen that nut butter in the grocery store and was tempted to buy it.. even though I am just in love with Trader Joe's crunchy pb. I need to get on the granola bandwagon.. I just have yet to find one I really love and looks like this one is a hit! So sweet of you to 'spread the love'! Happy Thursday :)

And thanks for the Planters Nut-rition Energy Mix peanut butter review. I always see it when I go to the grocery store and go back and forth if I want to buy it or not. Looks like I'll at least wait until it's on sale to give it a try! Even if it's not ideal for sandwiches, it might be great in recipes :)

I recently tried the peanut butter and completely agree, it was great on the celery I had, but I don't know how I would feel about it on a pb&j. And I have to say, my reactions to your posts always make me feel a little sheepish. Whenever you talk about a new find (waffles, granola, etc.) I always think I WANT THAT and plan how quickly I can get myself to Target :-)

I've been eyeing that granola ever since you posted about receiving in the mail! And I'm so glad that I found your blog! I admire you for your openness about HA and becoming healthy by letting yourself gain some weight and not be so focused on the scale and overly excessive exercise. Honestly, that's what a healthy living blog should be about. Some of the healthy living blogs don't have a good balance between working out and eating normal sized portions which can actually give a false sense of health. Love you and your blog!

I saw that new peanut butter at Target a few days ago too! I was soo close to buying it but since I always give in to the urge to buy nut butters that I haven't tried yet (and now they are stockpiling in my pantry), I decided I wasn't allowed to buy another nut butter until I finished some others. I'm often the same way with granola, but right now I'm running low so I could actually use some Love Grown :) Plus it's hard to come by around me ;)

PS Random but I've been meaning to comment this anyway- your buffalo mac & cheese recipe...let's just say, I made it once and now my husband literally has dreams about it. He even asked me to make it for his birthday this year...and he NEVER asks me to make him a special meal! He said it's probably one of the best things he's ever ate. Thanks for the recipe :)

Not sure I'll buy it again though, the ingredients aren't as great as I'd like (added sugar, etc...)

I just wanted to let you know how proud I am of you for doing the right thing for your body after your HA diagnosis. I have recently been experiencing very similar symptoms to HA and I knew that I was not giving my body the amount of fuel it needed to sustain the amount of exercise i was doing. I have been at war with myself for quite sometime about how to change my lifestyle; i simply couldn't fathom the idea of not exercising or eating more that i was. Your blog posts about dealing with HA have really inspired me to do what is right for my body, despite the fact that it means that I have to gain a little bit of weight. It is comforting to know that this isn't the end of the world. Being healthy is what is most important and you helped me to realize that!! thank you so much!

Mmm, I've never tried that pb before but it sounds like the PB&Co. Cinnamon Raisin pb which was sooo tasty on apples and bananas. I've also never tried the Love granola before and would love to! Haha I was just at Target yesterday and I can seriously spend so long in there just looking at all the stuff I would want to buy if I had an endless supply of money ;-) Have a great night!

I was skeptical of the NUT*rition when I saw it on the shelves, but I love the banana granola nut and the berry nut. They are really good in overnight oats! I also use them in my energy bites. On another note, I love granola. I make my own, but some days I don't have enough time to restock my supply. I love your blog, by the way. I love how you keep everything real.

I was at target the other day (for one thing!) and walked out with a new coat, new workout top and jacket (both on sale!), 3 pairs of socks for under $2, and of course, what I went there for.. Eye make up remover... Oh, I also got some make up sponges. Whoops! Yay for sales! :)

On a more serious note, I've had so many moments this week when I had the opportunity to appreciate how loving my boyfriend, parents, and family members are. I feel so lucky to have such a strong support system! PS I have been DYING to try Love Granola but can never find it anywhere!
