Eyeball Tricks

By Courtney 28 Comments

I have a fun little eyeball trick to start your morning off today, folks!

I got this in an e-mail from my Dad this morning, and it’s one of the craziest things ever. When you look at this picture up close, you see Albert Einstein, right? Well, now if you get up, and stand 15 feet away, take a look at the picture again…who do you see???

Marilyn Monroe, right?!? Isn’t that CRAZY?!? Just a fun little something to start the morning off. :)

Breakfast

I could not, for the life of me, decide what I wanted for breakfast today. Pancakes? Takes too long. Oatmeal? Too hot. Eggs? Nah… Finally, I came up with this, which was quick and cool, which was good enough for me.

I took an Arnold’s whole wheat sandwich thin “fill ’em”, cut it in half (since it wouldn’t fit in the toaster whole), opened it up, and lightly toasted both sides. Then I topped it off with a little Blizzard Butter & sliced banana.

On the side, I sliced up some fresh cantaloupe, which was super ripe and juicy! :-D

Shortly after breakfast, I turned on the “boob tube” for a little Exercise TV! My muscles are still ridiculously sore from Tuesday’s workout, so rather than doing my original BodyPump plan (there was no way I was doing those squats or lunges today) I scanned through my other options.

Today, I chose to do two workouts from the 10lb. Slimdown – CORE & YOGA, and both of these are actually available right on the website! Just click on the links to check them out. I think I was equally excited to be able to use my new yoga mat – isn’t it pretty? Nice and tropical! 8-)

I can get pretty picky when it comes to trainers in workout videos, but I really like this one, Chris Freytag. Both videos were just slightly over 20 minutes, and were both really good workouts. I can already tell I’m going to feel it in more core, and I’m really looking forward to trying the upper- and lower-body workouts from this series too.

Random Question for the Morning:

What kind of peanut /nut butter are you currently enjoying? Do you have a favorite brand to recommend??

Ditto on the TJs natural with flax seed...it's not too sweet and has a great crunch! Also just started PB2 and am finding I can eat massive quantities w/o the calories. WINNING!

Believe it or not, Stop 'n' Shop makes a spectacular Cinnamon Sugar Soynut Butter. It took me a while to get into the texture, but now I am totally addicted to it! It's cheap, organic, has more protein than most nut butters and comes in a cute jar! It's the bomb digs dropped on top of oatmeal. Noms.

I think those might both be on OnDemand. Need to check them out if you give them a thumbs up. Love your fun mat. I just keep buying blue for some reason. I love almond butter and of course PB. I have found that Smuckers Natural is HORRIBLE.

I finally tried the Arnold's Thins with some tuna salad last night. So delicious! I'm not a thick chunk of bread kind of person, so that is definitely my slice of bread. Thanks for the Exercise TV recommend. My husband and I are sharing the car over the summer, so I can't really go very far during the day. Glad to know I can get a variety of free workouts without leaving the house! You rock girl!

I love the MaraNatha almond butter. Its the best. That or organic all natural nothing added peanut butter. I've gotten away from the peanut butters with added salt and sugar and really do love the natural stuff. I eat almond butter everyday for breakfast with bananas and steelcut oats. Yummy

Have you tried Naturally Nutty yet? It's not a pure nutbutter, as in it has added ingredients (such as flax), but it is SO GOOD. I bought it from Kath's Open Sky store and it is totally worth it. It's like CAKE FROSTING. Fo' real!

I have not tried it yet, but I want to - BADLY! I was just having a hard time paying the price for it - if I remember, it had a pretty hefty price tag, right?
