I always love getting a sneak peek at what others are spending their hard earned dollars on, so I thought it might be fun today to share a few of my recent purchases! Here’s a look…
Kids Fill in the Blank Thank You Cards
Typically when I write out thank you cards to friends and family for birthdays, etc., I try to write them out in the voice of either kiddo. If I’m feeling spunky, I might even try to be funny. But after Lucas’s 6th birthday, I felt like it was about time for him to take over the thank you piece, so I found these cards on Amazon and they were absolutely perfect.
He wrote a few notes each day for a few days until he was finished, and it was nice because it not only allowed him to take practice his writing and spelling, but also the idea of gratitude and thankfulness. If you have kiddos around the same age, I’d highly recommend these!
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
I’ve been using collagen in my morning coffee for almost two years now, and it’s become a staple for me. I definitely notice a difference in my skin and nails when I use it vs when I don’t, and it’s so easy to incorporate into my daily routine. I can’t even taste it! I’ve tried a few different brands over the last couple of years, including Great Lakes brand and this Sports Research brand. I don’t notice a huge difference between any of them, and usually try to go with whichever one might be having the best deal!
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara
FYI, ladies! Ulta is having an amazing deal on this mascara for TODAY ONLY – 50% OFF!! Run, don’t walk, and go grab yourself a tube or two. I was introduced to this mascara back in the spring, and it has become my #1 favorite. I appreciate the fact that its ingredients are a bit better than some of the other brands I’ve used in the past. Oh, and I also love to add on their Opening Act lash primer for days when I want a little extra length/volume.
Beautycounter Favorites
I had to recently stock up on a few of my favorite makeup products from Beautycounter, which arrived a couple of weeks ago! My order included the Velvet Eyeshadow Palette in Romantic (you can see a better look at what that looks like in this post!), Radiant All Over Bronzer, Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation, Sheer Lipstick in Twig, and Lip Gloss in Bare Shimmer. *FYI! Don’t forget! Right now, anyone who joins our Band of Beauty loyalty program and makes a purchase of $50+ will receive a bottle of our Overnight Resurfacing Peel! <– one of my favorites!!
How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen: A Survival Guide to Life with Children Ages 2-7
Kids are HARD. Parenting is HARD. I think we can all agree on that, right? We deal with a lot of different power struggles in our house, and navigating that as parents has proven to be somewhat tricky. On top of that, I think we’re finding that both boys respond differently to different types of parenting, so that makes it even more challenging. Honestly, I’m always down for learning tips and tricks to help keep the peace in the home, but the most important thing for me is to make sure we’re raising respectful and kind, young boys. Above anything else, that’s the top priority. And some days, it feels way easier than others! Now I just need to cut out some time from my day to make reading a book a priority…

The Thank You Notes are an incredible idea! I love finds like that! At Target the other day, in the $1 bins, I noticed a mason jar filled with little prompts about teaching children the concept of being thankful/grateful. I thought it was such a great idea and plan to pick it up at some point – I think it’s great for everyone and something to use at the dinner table.
