Just as I usually do every Sunday or Monday, I navigated into the photos section of my phone to see just how much of this weekend I documented to see what I had to share.
Turns out, I didn’t do all that much documenting.
Buuuuut, there are a few, with some stories to go with them, so here’s what I’ve got…
On Saturday morning, Lucas had to go get his pictures done for t-ball, so the three of us (Alex) were out the door nice and early (and actually made it on time). Not five minutes before they were ready to go in for pictures, Lucas (who had just been told by me twice to stop running around like a madman) wipes out and gets grass stains all over his uniform.
You can’t really see them in that picture up there since it’s edited, but I have no doubt they’ll be front and center once the actual pictures come in. Hey, at least it’ll be a story to remember!
I don’t know how I didn’t make this thing #1, but you guys…
COOKIE DOUGH ICED COFFEE IS BACK AT DUNKIN’!!! (If you’re a newer reader, then you are probably wondering what the heck is wrong with me…long time readers, you’ll likely remember my obsession with this stuff!). Well, most of them. I’ve been to three locations so far to order (no shame in my game) and one store didn’t have it yet.
For those of you wondering, my typical order is a medium iced Dark Roast with 2 pumps of cookie dough syrup (there’s usually 3 in a medium) + skim milk. I. Am. So. Excited.
I had THE best salad on Friday night.
We wound up making some last minute plans with our neighbors to head down the road for dinner at Junior’s Bar & Grill, and their Grilled California Chicken Cobb salad is amaaaazing. Pair that with some perfect patio weather, a nice glass of chardonnay and awesome company, and it made for one great Friday evening!
Here’s more proof that Alex has gotten a hold of my phone…
Not gonna lie, I was a little creeped out when I first opened my photos and came across about a dozen photos of a baby doll face!
We haven’t had too many exciting dinners the past couple of weeks (hence no meal planning posts) BUT, I need to share these…
Jay and I made these Caramelized Pork Tacos with Pineapple Salsa on Sunday night and they were sooooo good. Highly recommend!!
Okay, tell me five things (or just one…or ya know, none if you aren’t feelin’ it) about your weekend!
Pineapple salsa is so good! This weekend we grilled out, which was amazing. Three cheers for summer! I’m adding DD cookie dough coffee to my to-do list this weekend. Sounds delicious!
Looks like a fun weekend!
I am glad your drink came back! I love when things like that happen :)
We had a low key weekend of just hanging out and doing things around the house. Kiddos were sick the weekend before, so it was a weekend full of catching up. Plus my hubby was out of town, so we had visits from my mother-in-law and my parents. It was a good one!
that’s hilarious about all the baby doll face pics!! :-D
OK….I’ve seen you rave about DD Cookie Dough iced coffee for a while now, and I am always jealous! Unfortunately I don’t have DD near me. BUT, I stumbled upon a bulk restaurant supply store here that sells every possible flavor of coffee syrup you can think of…I picked up 5 flavors to make flavored iced lattes at home….and of course I had to try Cookie Dough. OMG, YES!!! So good! I’m not sure if it tastes like DD, but I do know I love this homemade version. If I’m ever near a DD during the summertime – I will need to stop in and do a taste test :)
Woahhhh, no way?!? What’s the brand??
I use Da Vinci brand but I think Torani has a chocolate chip cookie dough flavor too! You can get them on amazon for more $$$, but if you have a restaurant supply food store near you – I would definitely try there! I think I paid $4/each! :)
