1. Yesterday was my mom’s birthday! Happy (30th, right Ma?) Birthdayyy! We celebrated with ice cream and it was fabulous.
1A. Apparently, the final draft that I had written of this post never saved, so if you saw this post earlier, you’d have likely gotten an idea of how I draft my posts, since it was totally not finished. So weird?! Thanks for the heads up, Kristen!
2. I saw this come up in my Instagram feed at the beginning of the week and I had to snap a screenshot so I could have the reminder to GO FIND THESE at Trader Joe’s. How awesome would they be, right?!
3. A couple of months ago, I ended up purchasing a deal on a 3-pack of therapeutic massages from one of our local spas, Complexions (which you’ve seen a couple of times). I kept forgetting that I actually had two remaining, so when it hit me again on Monday afternoon, I called to see if they happened to have anything last minute Tuesday after work. Turns out, they did…
Ahhhhhh. Jay took care of picking Lucas up from daycare, I enjoyed my hour long massage, and then I picked up some Chipotle for dinner for us on my way back home.
With chips and guac, of course.
That was a good, good evening.
4. If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably already know my excitement over this…
It had been three years (THREE YEARS) since I last did any sort of a Body Pump class (oh, how I looooved it back in the day!) and I was so excited when I saw it was for sale through Beachbody. I’ve only done one of the workouts on it so far (I believe there are 6?) and I was surprised by just how similar to an actual class it is. This is going to make me a verrrrrry happy camper for a long time!
*Unfortunately, it looks like Les Mills DVD’s are no longer going to be available via Beachbody. Such a bummer!
5. My sinuses hurt. Like, a lot. I’m so ready for this congestion/phlegm/crap to get outta here…
6. I came across this picture on Facebook yesterday…what would YOU choose??
I feel like I’d want to pick free travel for life, but the realist in me says I should probably go for the $300 grocery tab per month…only maybe if they upped it to like, $500. Since we already spend more than $300 a month now!
7. I recently got a fun little package in the mail from the peeps at Kushyfoot.
I’ve been loving the foot covers to wear with my dress shoes because they don’t show anything AND they’re comfy too.
Plus, these yoga socks? Never would have thought to wear them for a pedicure. Genius!
Thanks again, Kushyfoot!
8. We’re heading to the beach today!! We leave this morning to drive down and spend the next few days with my parents, brother, and his girlfriend down in Wildwood, NJ. I’m so looking forward to it! Hopefully the weather turns out okay (the next two days like sort of meh), but more importantly, I’m hoping Lucas can keep the sand out of his mouth this year…
That was just so gross! Oh, and I can guarantee you we’ll also be hitting up our favorite spot while we’re down there!
Alright, I’m off for today! I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and weekend ahead!
My inlaws will be in Wildwood the same time! I would be shocked if you dont run into them at the Seashell!
Remembering you have spa treatments is better than finding money in your pocket. Christmas in June! I would take free travel- how fun to take off at any time for amazing destinations!
That’s so cool that they have a Les Mills Bodypump DVD! We’re only getting release 93 next week here but not too far behind you guys!
I always take “what would you do” scenarios so seriously, but they are so much fun. I think I would go with the $300 in groceries for life…so boring and so practical LOL!
The picture of Lucas is too cute! The beach should be a blast!
Have fun in Wildwood! We’re going down with my in laws in a couple of weeks!
I would totally take $300 in groceries! We spend SO much. Like, $200+ a week just for my husband, my 2 year old daughter, and me. Crazy. I don’t know where it all goes!
I wear those footie things pretty much every day. I love them!
My daughter looooves the beach. She’s constantly asking, “This summer we go to the beach?” Yes, honey, as much as possible!
Have an amazing weekend at the beach! That’s so fun. I’m glad you were able to enjoy a spontaneous evening at the spa. Last minute appointments are the best! Happy Friday :)
Happy Friday, Courtney! I think I’d choose the travel one, because I live so far from my family, it’s tough to get home more than a few times a year. And I’ve been meaning to get a massage lately. With the amount of group fitness classes I teach, I need one! UGH! Have a lovely weekend and enjoy that sunshine and sand! :)
Just wanted to say that I bought these bagels last week…we are soft pretzels fiends here (have a great pumpkin/whole wheat recipe that we love). My boyz looked at me strange when I pulled the bagels out but they LOVED them! They had them toasted with butter.
Love your blog and am inspired by how well you live with friends! Have a great weekend :)
Oh those bagels! I don’t know if it is a good thing that they exist. I will be eating them every day!
Oh man, I think I’m with you … I’m leaning more toward the unlimited travel, but the realist in me leans more toward the groceries being covered.
Glad you’re enjoying some Les Mills PUMP! I’ve never tried one of the Beachbody versions. I’d be curious to see how/if they are different or similar.
Enjoy your weekend at the beach!! Love that throwback photo of little Lucas!
Only 300?! That’s a terrible option! Haha!
the beach!!! my fave place. hope you guys have a fabulous wknd! i’m off to Charleston tonight til Monday night and cannot waiiiiit. i hear nothing but amazing things about that city and i’m so stoked.
I think one of my favorite parts about blogging is reading about where in the country everyone is! When you said beach I immediately thought “Oh, obviously Florida!” But definitely not! Have so much fun!! The beach is the best thing for the soul, I’m convinced of it!!
I’ve ben taking my son to the beach this summer and he keeps eating the sand! It is so weird! I can’t believe beachbody doesn’t sell the Les Mills DVDs anymore! I love them so much! I was hoping they would make more! Maybe you can still get them on Amazon?
So depressing to hear about Beachbody no longer selling Les Mills! Do you know where someone can get the DVDs/barbells?
How have I missed those pretzel bagels??!
I think I would choose the travel! Doing Body Pump at home sounds amazing!
Hi Courtney. You mentioned in here that it looks like the Les Mills BodyPump DVD’s are no longer going to be available via BeachBody. I also looked on Amazon.com and couldn’t find them. Do you know where I CAN get them??
Thank you.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure Amy. But I’m going to be on the lookout!
