1. Well, my. goodness. I certainly did not expect such positive, amazing feedback from you guys on my post from Wednesday. You guys are just so great. THANK YOU, seriously, for being such wonderful readers. You guys are just the best.
2. My poor babe caught a cold (out of nowhere, seriously) this week, so we’ve been wiping a runny nose and dealing with a little extra crabbiness the past few days. Thankfully, the weather has been beautiful so we’ve still been able to get outside.
But of course, it still hasn’t held him back from doing things like, you know, jumping on the couch when he’s not supposed to. Which, by the way, how many thousands of times do you have to tell them ‘no’ before they actually listen?! Ay yi yi.
3. In case you missed it on Instagram…
I got myself a new ‘do’ for fall! I dropped the blond, I’m back to red, and I’m lovin’ it.
It’s been quite a while since I last went red, but I was ready for a change. Thanks, mom!
4. I came across this post yesterday about working moms and I found it quite interesting. Many of the things in that list I found myself shaking my head yes to!
5. I’ve been on a peanut butter + banana + chia seeds kick this week for breakfast.
If it hasn’t been on waffles, it’s been on English muffins, and it’s just been fabulous.
Although I will say, I’m really craving some oatmeal and I think it’s time to start making some Voluminous Oats or some of my other favorite oatmeal recipes!
6. I switched it up a little bit on the workout front this week. I did a mix of PiYo, along with some Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred that I found on YouTube, a 10lb Slimdown Total Body workout (LOVE these workouts!) and a couple of T25 videos I hadn’t done in a while. It felt good to mix it up a little bit!
7. I wouldn’t mind having this awesome jacket or this sweater in about 5 different colors for fall/winter. (FYI: J.Crew is having 25% off everything with the code SHOPNOW!).
8. Darn you, Chobani, for sucking me in with your delicious, festive sounding flips.
9. Interestingly enough, I’ve recently had quite a few people ask me (both on and off the blog) where I buy my chia seeds…and it’s through iHerb (affiliate link). I know I mentioned it last week, but it sounded like it was worth mentioning again. I love their site for so much more, too – for everything from nut butters to sunscreen.
10. Jay and I are hoping to bring Lucas to a couple of different fall-related activities that are happening in our area this weekend, which should be fun! Even though it’s still almost 80 degrees, I love fall activities. :)
I love how many outdoor activities there are in the summer and fall! This weekend we are going to a food festival! Your hair looks gorgeous!
I love the hazelnut Chobani. There’s a peanut butter one that is sold at a few local Targets and Stop and Shops. It’s the best afternoon treat.
I read that same article about working moms. Being “surprisingly less stressed” is not how I would describe being a working mom. I haven’t met any mother (that stays at home, works at home, works in an office) that has less stress. It’s just part of the mom life!
Love the hair!!! I’m a natural red head but went a bit more copper last night…taking a bit of getting used too!
I LOVE the red. It looks so great and perfect for fall. I’ve always thought about going red, but I had a blond that turned strawberry blond once and it looked terrible – ever since I’ve stayed away from anything close to red. Have a great weekend!
Your hair is always on point! Love the change. Hope Lucas feels better! My little guy is under the weather with a cold and it is so tough to see them sick.
Chobani always sucks me in with their seasonal flavors! I love the summer watermelon and the fall pumpkin spice!
I seriously wish I knew someone who would dye my hair well inexpensively. I was going to go red on my Disney Cruise (as Ariel. lol), but now I just can’t afford it. Sad panda. And Chobani is going to have to go home with me this weekend. I just know it. :-)
Love the hair! I’m in need of doing something with my hair…I just keep seeing all the GRAY hair and I am WAY too young for that! ;)
I love the red! I have a hair appt. next week and am debating on asking her to put a little more red in than normal.
Love the red hair, looks great! I love Fall activities as well, but it’s still in the 90’s here in Dallas so it does feel a little odd, ha!
I love the red!! Beautiful!
Loving your red hair, it looks so great! Chobani always sucks me in with their interesting flavors too! Have a great weekend :)
really like the red hair a lot!! your mama does some nice work. i can’t waiiiit to get back upstate next wknd (and a bunch in October) to do all the Autumn things!
I’m loving the red! It’s always nice to change things up. I’ve been coloring my hair since 9th grade and this is the first year (EVER) since then that I haven’t touched it. Part of me wants to cut it with a side bang and color it again, but part of me wants to see how long I can let it grow out naturally. It’s certainly cheaper that way! ;) Enjoy the weekend with your boys!
I’m so jealous of those Flips…not for the nut AND gluten allergic!
Love the red hair, it’s perfect for this time of year! And those English muffins made my mouth water–that’s my favorite breakfast although sadly it hasn’t tasted good to me while I’ve been pregnant. I’m looking forward to eating it again in six months or so lol.
Love the fall hair color. So many fall activities to do this year with the little ones being so active : )
