Well hey there, friends. Did you all have a fabulous weekend?
Ours had some ups and downs, and I quickly realized that I didn’t really wind up taking too many pictures. If I could, I’d ask if you could please all just keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, as we have a family member going through some difficult times right now (not one of the three of us), and it’s been a little tough for us all.
But, in trying to keep on the positive side of things, I’ll go ahead and share some highlights from our weekend that I did manage to capture! Like, for example, this picture I took on Friday after I picked him up from daycare. He looked out the window and soon discovered that we were at the playground.
Little man loves his slides and running around.
A casual Saturday morning breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast with butter and jelly, and coffee.
Followed by some Saturday morning coloring (in my new coloring book!)
I got out for a couple of hours solo on Sunday, which included some grocery shopping, a trip to Michael’s, and a trip to HomeGoods. It was 2 hours of pure bliss.
I picked up this console table for our foyer, along with a few pictures from HomeGoods.
At Michael’s, I picked up some chalkboard chalk* paint for a project (my main reason for going in the first place),
*Edited: Thanks for the heads up comment on that one, Nicole! ;)
and then also wound up with a few extra décor pieces.
Including this “Eat” sign that I fell in love with and got to put on top of our kitchen cabinets.
Later in the afternoon, Lucas and I went over to visit with my parents for a couple of hours while Jay was out. I think Lucas looked like he should have belonged on the Jets sideline as one of their coaches, don’t you think?
While I was there, my mom also fed me this amazing Oreo pudding shot, which was apparently made with Bailey’s and vodka.
I’m already planning out when I’ll have a good reason to make some for us.
And that’s really all I’ve got for you guys today. I didn’t do a whole lot of meal prep (minus buying and cutting up a rotisserie chicken and making a batch of meatballs), and I only got one quick workout in, but here’s hoping for a good, productive, and positive week ahead!
How about you guys? What are you planning on doing this week to be productive or positive?
How do you like the coloring book? Worth all the hype? :)
My thoughts go out to your family. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do! All the best.
Sending my thoughts and prayers to your family. xx
Sending love and prayers to you and your family! xoxo
Sending good thoughts your way. We went through a rough summer and I am now a firm believer of everything happens for a reason.
I saw the commercial for that coloring book yesterday and wondered if it was the grown up one you ordered lol.
Lots of love and well wishes for your family. My family has been dealing with a lot this past month and I’m hoping we are finally on the upswing but I get the toll that it can take on everyone, so much love to you guys!
Thinking of you guys and sending positive thoughts your way!
love that EAT sign!! I saw a Pinterest tutorial on how to make them, but if you can buy them already made?!?! YES YES YES
I went to acupuncture this morning and I’m so sleepy I don’t feel like I’ll get much done in the way of being productive until I’ve had a nice nap! That’s a positive start to the week though, nice to have the opportunity to take one!
Much love and prayers to you and your family. Hoping you have a positive week ahead :)
Sending positive thoughts to your family!
Thinking of you guys and sending well wishes to you and your family. Side note, I love your nail polish, do you have the color of that?
Thanks Ashley! I can’t remember the exact name but it’s one of the Sally Hansen Gel polishes! One of the few gray colors they had ;)
I will definitely keep your family in our prayers. <3 That picture of Lucas is so adorable! Happy boy!
I’m so sorry to hear your family has been having some rough times lately. I will be praying for you guys.
On a more positive note, I love the console table you found at Home Goods! I always love that store, but often forget about it. Maybe that’s a good thing? ;)
Cheers to a great week!
I’m totally hoping to be productive this week and remaining positive that it will be another quick week for this girl!! :) Fingers crossed!
That oreo pudding shot sounds delicious! I LOVE Baileys in desserts.. or on its own ;)
Thinking of you all! XOXO
I don’t think chalky finish is the same as chalkboard paint :)
Haha yes, I realized after I wrote chalkboard paint that that isn’t really what I was looking for. Then again, I don’t even know if what I bought is what I’m looking for?! So I guess we’ll just wait and see! ;)
I totally try to keep the self-promoting to a minimum, but when I saw your oreo pudding shots I KNEW I had to tell you about my cake batter shots and brownie batter shots. (spoiler: the brownie batter ones involve making actual brownies crumbling them together with vodka to fold into the “batter” pudding… and its ridiculous… and amazing)

my boyfriend almost cried when I made them, that’s how I know they’re good ;)
OMG thank you, Ashley!!!!
any time! I figure you deserve a few of those for sharing so many goodies with us ;)
Sending good vibes and positive thoughts your way, Courtney!
