I recently got the opportunity to test out and review the GB Zuzu stroller, and I can tell you all right now that we absolutely LOVE this thing.
The GB Zuzu Stroller is sold (along with all other GB products) exclusively at Babies “R” Us stores and BabiesRUs.com.
The Zuzu is a lightweight stroller that has a unique compact self-standing slide fold that’s shorter than typical umbrella strollers so its super easy to tote and tuck away. It was this reason that initially grabbed my interest, as someone who owns both a full travel system stroller (Graco) and a small, cheap umbrella stroller. While both of those can work great, sometimes it’s a pain to cart around both of them since I don’t know which one I’ll need to use.
Lucas and I have tried out the Zuzu a few different places – at the grocery store, the mall, the softball fields, and just out for a regular walk – and I was extremely pleased with just how well the stroller works for just about anything.
My cool little dude seems to really enjoy sitting in the rather posh reclining seat every time we go out, and he can easily strap in to the adjustable harness.
The Zuzu features a fairly sturdy and extendable air-flow canopy which also has a zip-away mesh ventilated window. Perfect for keeping an eye on the little guy when he needs to be shaded from the sun.
This stroller has the comfort, roominess, and storage of my bigger Graco stroller, but it’s compact size reminds me more of a super-duper umbrella stroller. One thing that I’m sure all moms and dads will love is the fact that the Zuzu is also compatible with select Graco and Chicco Infant Car Seats. We own the Graco Snugride35 car seat, which easily fit into the Zuzu, but because Lucas has since transitioned into his convertible car seat and likes to have a little more room to move, he was more content to sit in the stroller seat without the car seat.
The Zuzu also features a rather large storage basket, which is probably one of my favorite things about it. While I loved having a standard umbrella stroller, I really missed out on the storage aspect of it.
And, of course, one of the most important things to consider when buying a stroller (at least in my opinion) is being able to close and store it quickly and easily. There have been a few times this past year when we’ve carted around our larger stroller and the added bulk just made things more difficult than they had to be. Plus, now that Lucas is fully mobile, I need something I can quickly fold up and toss in the trunk.
Breaking down the stroller is extremely easy. First you use the finger-activated slide fold, then just pull up on the lock towards the base where the storage basked is.
Once you pull up, the stroller folds up shorter than an umbrella stroller, making it perfectly compact to throw in even the smallest of spaces.
If I were to say anything negative about it, I would have to touch on the fact that it does not have any sort of tray or beverage holder, which sometimes comes in handy when we use our larger stroller. But overall, I would absolutely recommend this stroller and can foresee us getting quite a bit of use out of it.

Very cool! My stroller is HUGE and annoying to take in and out of the car – I would love a lighter, sleeker stroller!

The GB Zuzu stroller does look sweet! I really like the thoughtfulness they put into the design of this stroller. An example of this is the meshed canopy for improved airflow!
I know it’s more than a year since this post was published, so I’m curious to find out how the stroller is doing. Is it still in good shape?
Thanks
