Lots of good stuff was happening this weekend! Starting off with a super fun girls’ night out on Friday night with the neighborhood crew.
We (somewhat) recently had a new hibachi restaurant open up near us, so we chatted and worked out a date where all of us could meet up for a couple of kid-free hours. Good drinks, good food, and more importantly, THE best neighbors EVER.
Saturday kept the fun going, and also granted us with some nice enough weather to finally be able to take the police car out from storage. If these kids faces don’t tell you how excited they were, then I don’t know what will.
A little after noon, Jay and I left the boys at home with my mother-in-law, and the two of us headed out to meet up with our friends Joey and Kate for lunch at Druthers.
Kate had texted me last week asking if we wanted to meet up for a day date, which I thought was such a great idea. We never think to do “day dates!”
Lots of good food happening at lunch, of course starting with my favorite Druthers appetizer, and then their Barley Greens salad with grilled chicken for me.
After lunch, we walked up the road to Fort Orange Brewing, which was a new spot for all of us to try. Jay had showed me earlier in the week that they had just started offering a seasonal Blueberry Blonde ale, so I was super pumped to give that a try.
Inside the brewery actually smelled absolutely nauseating (whew, it was awful!), so the four of us got our beers and just hung outside chatting, since the weather was nice enough to allow for it!
Definitely a great afternoon with friends!
And, actually, we wound up keeping the party going! Joey and Kate wound up coming over after picking up their girls, and we all had some pizza for dinner while the kiddos played. So fun!
Sunday was fairly chill, starting out with some coupon clipping, which of course turned into my two buddies wanting to help. So I typically just throw them a few of the grocery store flyers and let them pick out anything they think looks yummy and they love it.
Alex’s cheese face…I can’t. <3
Then later that afternoon, we stopped over to my parents’ house for some haircuts for the boys and dinner.
They sure do love their Papa (and their Nan Nan!).
And now, here we are, back to the grind! Happy APRIL! Did anyone get ya with a good prank today?!? ; )
We have a local brewery that is expanding, but in the meantime the taproom is in the brewing area. It. Smells. So. Bad. Not even a yeasty beer smell, more like rotten silage/barn.
Sounds like a party! Haaaaaay
Can the boys stop being so adorable?! And i pranked my manager at work today! I took his car keys and forgot to tell him I left them in the fridge. I heard he stayed an extra hour and a half looking for them. Oops!
