Give Me Some Toppings!

By Courtney Leave a Comment

Oatmeal by itself is good.  Easily delicious.  Its creamy, chewy, cinnamony-sweet flavor delights me with every bite.

BUT…oatmeal with fun toppings?  Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about! ;)

Today’s bowl ‘o oats started with a pretty typical base:

-1/3 cup oats

-1/3 cup vanilla almond milk

-1/3 cup water

-1/2 sliced banana

-golden raisins

-cinnamon & nutmeg

But THEN, it was time to get fancy!

Toppings for today:

-1 small scoop Maple PB

-1 warmed up, crumbled slice Blueberry Banana bread

-sprinkle of granola

This was easily one of the best bowls of oats I’ve made in a while, and I blame it totally on the blueberry banana bread.  Once it gets mixed into the oats, it gets so moist!  And this way, I get the satisfaction of enjoying the bread, while also getting the filling fiber & protein of the oatmeal…it’s a WIN-WIN! :-D

I’ll leave you this morning with some pretty flowers to start your day!

Question for the Morning:

What’s your favorite type of flower?

I honestly don’t know all that much about flowers, but I do love cala lillies (they were in my wedding bouquets) & roses (but not red ones, too typical…give me some flashy yellow, soft white, or even better…purple ones!)

Pimped out oatmeal is the best. I'm a big fan of cereal to top is- apparently I attempt to fit in as many carbs as possible in my breakfast... lol I'm a fan of orchids. I love how delicate and elegant they look!

Gorgeous flowers. My favorite flower is a rose. Love changing up oatmeal toppings. I love bananas, peanut butter, and sugar-free strawberry jam with mine. Somehow it's comforting.
