Have You Tried This Stuff?

By Courtney 59 Comments

Well, we did end up playing our softball game last night, but I still got to hang out with the birthday girl!

IMG_3543

After the game was over (our first loss of the season, boo), some of the team and the fam hung out at the field for a bit…gosh, they sure are goofballs. Winking smile

IMG_3545IMG_3546

Before leaving for the game I needed to fuel up with something quick for dinner, so I whipped up a quick sandwich.

A few slices of buffalo chicken deli meat, lettuce, tomato, avocado(!), and honey mustard on whole wheat bread.

IMG_5877

The sandwich did a great job of holding me over throughout the game, but by the time I got home, I was ready for a little dessert.

IMG_5881

I ended up caving in to a sale on Ben & Jerry’s pints this week and bought a flavor I’ve had my eye on for forever now: Cinnamon Buns.

YOU GUYS…have you tried this stuff?

Caramel ice cream with cinnamon bun dough & a cinnamon streusel swirl…aka, it’s unbelievable. I think it’s a good thing they only sell these things in pints. Just sayin’.

*****

This morning I have a shift at the gym with a small break so I’m planning on stopping over for my usual Tuesday breakfast at Starbucks. This time, however, I won’t be hiding in the corner eating my breakfast out of a peanut butter jar. Winking smile

Cinnamon buns? Must try this! I love that it is Ben & Jerry's which means that the ingredients are fair trade! Yay! My new favourite flavour is maple syrup. Oh. My. Word. It is delicious. Locally made in Quebec which is home to some of the best sugar shacks. And now I want some.

Cinnamon Buns is the first flavor of Ben & Jerry's I ever tried. So, so good. If only treats like that were as healthy as a bowl of spinach, right?! My top three favorite ice cream flavors are pumpkin, cake batter, and cookies & cream!

Holy moly, cinnamon buns ice cream sounds de-FREAKIN-licious! I don't know how the combination of my favorite pastry with ice cream couldn't be good!? My favorite ice cream would have to be cheesecake with strawberries. The not-so-sweetness of the cheesecake paired with the semi-sweet, tart strawberries makes for the perfect combination :)

Chubby Hubby all the way. I've actually banned myself from buying it, because two times in a row now I've finished the pint in one day. As much as I like to let myself splurge now and then, entire pints of ice cream seems a bit excessive! lol

Anything with peanut butter and chocolate - Tillamook's (local dairy in Oregon) peanut butter & chocolate usually takes the stop spot (espeically because my husband insists that we support local) but I'm also partial to Dryer's Butterfinger and B&J's Chubby Hubby.
