Good morning to you all! And Merry Christmas Eve, Eve!
Unfortunately, I don’t have a whole lot to share with you all today. Things have been busy this week with getting ready for the holiday, on top of a busy work week, too. Thankfully today is my last day then it’s a nice long weekend!
Besides that, I’ve basically been eating all the sugar over here, thanks to my co-workers.
But it’s alright because I’ve been making a solid effort to get those workouts in. Now don’t get me wrong…I’m not saying “oh man, I ate 5 cookies so I need to workout like crazy.” Nooo, no. I’m just saying that knowing I got a regular, normal workout in just makes me feel better. I’m fairly positive my sugar intake is still much higher than any calories I’m burning.
‘Tis the season.
Last night Jay and I also played Santa’s elves and worked on putting together a few of Lucas’s Christmas presents that needed assembling and wrapping.
I got the workbench from Zulily and I’m quite pleased with the purchase (they seriously have some awesome stuff on there). I really think he’s gonna love it!
As for the rest of the week, you likely won’t be seeing too much of me around here. I could use a little extra time away from the computer and am truly looking forward to spending the extra time with my family.
And to be honest, I need a little time to rev up the blog juices. Every once in a while I sort of “hit a wall,” if you will, and just really lack the ideas to come up with good, fun, posts to share with you all. I think it happens to all bloggers now and then! You guys know that the blog has been taking different directions lately, and I’m totally pleased with that. But we all know that I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for all of YOU. And I really can’t say THANK YOU enough to you all for that. I’d like to shout it from the rooftops!
So I’m hoping you’ll help me out a bit…what else do you guys want to see from STSL in 2016?? More recipes? Day in the life? Toddler meals/adventures? What I’m up to with fitness? Fashion? I’m all ears!!
I’m wishing all of you, my fabulous readers, a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, whatever you may be celebrating. I’ll see you all soon! <3
This probably isn’t going to be helpful at all but I love reading about all of the topics you listed! Love the day in the life posts and the toddler posts since I am a mama as well. I also love reading your fitness posts and fashion. I say just keep doing what you’re doing! Your blog has always come across so genuine and makes me feel like I actually know you which I so appreciate since I have really lost that feeling with a lot of the other blogs I read. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I would read anything you post because I love your blog! You come across as so authentic and down to earth. My favorite posts from you though are fashion posts, day in the life posts and recipes. I think it would be fun to read a post about your grocery list staples. I would love to read more toddler posts too, especially one about the current fun things/challenges you are experiencing with the current age that Lucas is at. I hope you have a merry Christmas with your family!
More toddler meal ideas! Your recipes for mini turkey meatballs and easy cheesy spinach pasta are a staple for my 20 month old’s lunches. We love these so much.
Also love weekly bump updates. Whenever you can’t think of a blog topic just update us on your pregnancy and maternity outfits.
Happy holidays and enjoy some downtime from blogging – you deserve it!!
I love your blog and enjoy how genuine you are. I would like to see some bump updates and how you are doing through your second pregnancy. Hope you and your fam have a great Christmas and a happy new year!
You know, I have been thinking your blog has been missing something lately, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what it is. Then this morning, poof, I figured it out. You need more of your friend Joey in your blog! I mean, some of your best blog work is when Joey is in the post. I’m thinking maybe a monthly Q&A session with him. Or maybe even a post of Joey & Jay’s fatherly advice. So my vote is for more Joey!
The work bench is so cute. I can’t wait to buy my daughter gifts like that that she’ll actually play with. I totally hear you on the blog burn out or not really knowing what to publish. I love how honest you are. I love hearing about mom stuff, especially toddler stuff since I will be there soon!
I always enjoy reading, but I especially like anything Mom and pregnancy related. Updates on your pregnancy, anything new you’ve tried and loved (both child related and pregnancy related). I also would love to see more product reviews or things you are loving that are beauty or food related. Recipes are always great. Hope this helps!
Happy Holidays!! I like updates on your life, day-in-the-life posts, easy supper ideas, how your managing everything, fitness updates and fashion posts.
Courtney – I always enjoy your “Day in the Life” blogs as I have grown to love your whole family! Your posts always make me smile and I enjoy reading them every day. I have recently lost over 100 pounds and am finally getting into style more as I finally feel better about myself. I really have no idea how to dress, so I love getting ideas from you of what is in style. I would enjoy seeing more fashion blogs. I hope that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!

You’re blog is always amazing to read, even if you think you have mental blocks! I never notice! As for my favorite posts…I enjoy recipes, day in the life/WIAW, and meal plans.
