So I know I mentioned it last week, but I got a new Stitch Fix this month, and wanted to go ahead and share it with you all!
In case you’re new to Stitch Fix and how it works, you can read all about it in my first post about the service, HERE.
Unfortunately, because I waited for so long to write up my post, I’ve already thrown out the paperwork that shows the details on each item, and I’ve also checked out online and can’t see the details there either. SO, while I may not have many of the details on the make or price, I’ll try my best to ballpark it.
Oh, and one of these days, maybe I’ll try to take photos in a decent mirror…
Navy & White Striped Short-Sleeve Shirt (~$40?)
I loved the soft fabric of this shirt, along with the fact that it was just super cute. It paired well with white denim, jean shorts, and basically anything else I attempted, so it was definitely a keeper. It was a little pricier than I probably would have paid for it if I found it in the store, but I didn’t want to lose my styling fee so I decided to keep it. No regrets though, I love it!
Kut from the Kloth Skinny Jeans (~$90?)
I liked these jeans, but I didn’t love them. I also really didn’t need them, and they were a bit too snug for my liking. So, back they went.
Floral Crochet Back Tank (~$30-50? Really not sure)
(similar back, sort of similar but super pretty, sort of similar cut)
I liked the idea of this tank (does that even make sense?), but it just didn’t look right on me. It just sort of hung there if I wasn’t posing, which obviously isn’t going to work for the day to day. The colors and pattern were beautiful, and the crochet back was really pretty, but then I’d also have to wear a different sort of bra which would have been a pain. Sooo…return.
Denim Button Up Sleeveless Dress (No idea on price on this one…)
(similar, similar, very similar)
I was really hoping I was going to put this dress on and just fall in love with it. I could use a new dress to wear for work, but this one just didn’t really wow me. I first tried it casual, pairing it with simple flip flops, but I didn’t love that. Then I tried dressing it up a bit with some nude heels and a white cardigan and I will say that I did like that look better. But overall, I just didn’t love it enough to keep it, so it went back.
Pendant Necklace (~$40ish maybe?)
There really wasn’t all that much about this necklace that I liked. I don’t wear a lot of gold, and the pendant just wasn’t me, so this was an easy return.
Soooo, as you can see, this definitely wasn’t my best Stitch Fix I’ve received, but it wasn’t terrible (you can see all of my previous Stitch Fix reviews HERE).
I’m still trying to decide if I want to keep my fix scheduled for August…I always love receiving them, because it’s super fun to see what’s coming my way, but I’m also not really sure of anything I neeeeeed right now. Plus, once August hits, I’m already starting to look in to things for fall (anyone else??), so who knows what I’ll want at that point?! Anyone have any good recommendations??

There’s a fine line between snug jeans and those that are a little too tight, I always do the virtual sit down when trying them on to test them out :) Comfort always wins for me! They do look nice on though!!!

when a fix is “close but no cigar” I always do the next month. They seem to hit it out of the park in my experience.
Melissa @ Freeing Imperfections says
That’s too bad about the denim dress. It’s definitely cute!
I always want to do something like stitch fix but I can also never justify the “need.” The things I need probably wouldn’t come from stitch fix either.
Linz @ Itz Linz says
I still need to try stitch fix! I really need a pair of white jeans!
Britt@MyOwnBalance says
I hate it when my Stitch Fix is a bust! All cute ideas but they just didn’t really work in the overall except the T. I find that sometimes my boxes hit them out of the park and sometimes I feel a little let down.

I haven’t done stich fix yet, I’m still debating trying it. BUT I do know that this fall I’m in the market for a good trench coat – you were looking for recommendations of things to ask – so this might be something to ask for (if that’s your style)!

I love seeing other people’s fixes (and I loved that first t-shirt!) I’ve actually asked for no accessories in mine because I never got any jewelry I really liked. Plus, I can usually find things for cheaper at places like Bauble Bar.

the denim dress looked really cute. you should have kept it ;)

I love seeing other people’s fixes but just can’t get around to signing up for it myself yet – love that first shirt you kept. Very cute!

I’ve been debating whether or not I should sign up for another fix. It has been a couple months since I had one. The last couple that I had were complete misses – which is probably my fault for not giving a lot of info on my style profile. Maybe I’ll sign up for a fix for the fall – my wardrobe will definitely need some new pieces by then!

That crochet tank is so cute!

I seriously love that first shirt! The denim dress is a cute idea, but somehow the execution of it is always lacking from my experience. It’s hard to make a denim dress look cute (except on countless pinterest boards!).

The jeans looked nice, but I agree comfort always wins for me. I always find that the are tight in odd areas and not as tight in other areas. The denim dress would look amazing if it was slightly shorter on you IMO. I feel like some of the stitch fix clothes are priced up quite a bit (which i am sure they have to a little to make money). I cannot wait to get my first box after reading all of the reviews I am hopeful I completed the survey so there isnt an adjustment period:)

I have never had a good stitch-fix and after three attempts I gave up. I did, however find some great things at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale going on right now! Check it out if you are thinking ahead for fall.

I’ve done stitch fix before and really felt like a lot of the pieces weren’t what I really needed for my wardrobe. I feel like you’re better off shopping for yourself for fall items-I think it’s easier with summer and spring things from stitch fix because loose and flowy usually always looks great which is easy with summer outfits.
Sarah @ Sweet Miles says
I’m with you, I feel the same way about August. I feel like no matter how long I’m out of school for, it will ALWAYS feel like that transitional month from summer ending to beginning fall, even if it’s still hot. Then, once it’s labor day, I am officially in fall mode!
Shawna says
ahhhhh i can’t even think about fall clothes yet — i’ve hardly worn 1/4 of my summer clothes. :( whyyyyy does this season just fly on by?!
