It sure looks like you guys are getting just as excited about this new GIVEAWAY as I am! If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re definitely going to want to take a peek. ;)
It’s still a lovely, soupy, steamy mess in this house this morning. It’s literally so gross that our mirrors are all beginning to fog and my bags of chocolate chips I had in the kitchen have melted. Seriously. Hubby has gone out the past two days to try to find another air conditioner unit (yes, we’ve decided to cave and just buy one) but, of course, everyone is sold out. Hopefully we’ll have some more luck today, because this is getting a little unbearable.
So you’d think, with it being so hot in here that I’d want to completely throw myself into the freezer or fridge to find something chilly for breakfast, right? Nope. Not this gal – I wanted hot, creamy oatmeal. Yes, I’m nuts. It’s ok, I’ve accepted it. ;)
A typical whipped banana oats base:
1/3 cup oats
1/3 cup vanilla almond milk
1/3 cup water
1/2 smashed banana
1-2 tbsp. golden raisins
cinnamon & nutmeg
Today’s bowl was perfect – chewy, creamy, and full of different textures and flavors in the toppings, which totally made the bowl! :)
-small scoop of Blizzard Butter
-Honey Vanilla Almond granola
–mystery baked good!!!
Oh yes, that’s right! If you follow me on Facebook at all, you already know that I was a baking machine yesterday (further evidence of my craziness — spending 4+ hours baking in the 90 degree kitchen). Hearing all of your favorite cupcake flavors on yesterday’s post really got me in the mood to bake up some sweet treats. Any guesses on THIS one?!? ;)
Don’t worry, I won’t tease you all for long, promise. I’ll be posting the recipe this afternoon! :)
**Don’t forget to check out the giveaway! Remember, you have LOTS of chances to enter!**
Random Question for the Morning:
Only one choice: Cookies, Pie, or Cake? :-P
Cake…with a lot of frosting. :)
Pie! :)
funfetti cake with rainbow chip frosting.
however, i would rather have an okay cookie than an okay cake. you know how cakes that are only okay can be just bad?
but definitely cake. because they have frosting.
Cookies. It’s beyond hot here too and I keep on eating my oatmeal. Smart huh?
Cookies. Hands down.
Oh I’ve had that happen- my AC went out once and all my chocolate chips became bagged chocolate bricks. :( Hang in there! And good luck on the AC unit hunt!
Pie for sure! I love cooked fruit!
Have you tried craigslist for your AC???
I put my choc chips in my fridge – they never have a chance to dry out since I bake pretty often. You may want to give it a whirl ;)
Oh and hmm, tough question. Pie, because pumpkin pie is my favorite dessert!
cookies.
but i really love brownies. ;)
cake! extra frosting!!!
Cookies!!!
