Navigating the Fridge

By Courtney 19 Comments

Happy Thursday! :-D

Last Night’s Recap

Good news: We won our softball game last night.

Bad news: I came home, ate leftovers for dinner, and again went to bed feeling BLAH. Grrrrr…darn you stomach!

We didn’t end up grilling after the game, so after hanging out for a bit, I came home and had some leftover Cheesy Chicken & Rice casserole. I was so hungry by the time I ate, I think that that may have been part of the culprit.

Sorry, this house has terrible lighting when there’s no natural light available!

Breakfast

Usually I have an idea of what I want for breakfast by the time I wake up in the morning, but today was a tough decision! Should I skip dairy? Should I not eat gluten? Should I not care?

After navigating through the good ‘ol refrigerator, I saw the bag of fresh spinach I picked up the other day at the grocery store. Ahhhh, decision made. Any guesses?? ;)

Strawberry Banana Green Monster :)

-1 frozen banana, sliced

-1 large handful frozen strawberries

-1/2 cup vanilla almond milk

-1/2 scoop strawberry Whey protein powder

-2 big ‘ol handfuls spinach

-2 ice cubes

It was so creamy and delicious! I don’t know why I don’t think to make these more often??

Later this morning, I have to run a couple errands, including a trip to Target. There are 5 things on my Target list…want to make any bets that I’ll be coming home with more than 5 things? ;)

Question for the Morning:

What store can you never leave without spending more than you anticipated?

Definitely Target. Whenever I go there I end up getting @ least 5 things I never intended to get. My poor wallet is NOT a fan of the store..but I sure am :D

I always take a list to Target. And leave with an extra bag or two of stuff not on it... I can't figure it out! There must be something in the air there... or the lighting... because I walk in and want EVERYTHING!!!

If I had five things on my Target list, I'd come home with 10. Better off not even making a list! Your smoothie sounds wonderful!

When do we ever go to the store and come back with only what's on the list? The only time I do that is when my husband is waiting and he pushes me. Even then I might nab a Reeses' on my way out. :)

I hate that about your stomach! I was having horrible stomach issues (felt like I couldn't suck in/bloating) - and to be honest, I think most of it was stress-related. Hopefully you'll be able to figure out the culprit. I hate having tummy issues. And I absolutely do not trust myself in Target or Trader Joes. :)

Sephora or Buckle. I'm in big trouble in either of these or even Mac cosmetics.
