Hello? Hello? Anyone still out there this week with the 4th of July holiday quickly approaching?
Well, we just got back yesterday from a SUPER fun overnight stay at The Great Wolf Lodge in New England (Fitchburg, MA) and we’re slowly still trying to get back into our routine (even though this week will be a bit wonky with the holiday!).
Thanks to no internet at the house all yesterday, I’m a bit behind on my blog recap of our stay, so in the meantime, I figured I’d go ahead and share some of my all-time FAVORITE appetizer and dessert recipes that I would 110% recommend making for any BBQ’s you may be attending tomorrow (or, really, any time this summer!). So, go ahead and take a look, bookmark your favorites, and then I’ll be back with a trip recap soon!
Appetizers/Sides
****************
Dill Pickle Cheeseball
We were first introduced to that amazing recipe by our neighbors LAST 4th of July and we all still talk about it. It’s a good one!
Wedge Salad Dip
Ohhh, we love this dip! So quick and easy to whip up, and it’s definitely becoming a party favorite for us.
Healthy Roasted Potato and Veggie Salad
This may be an old(er) recipe, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious. Which reminds me, I totally need to make it again ASAP.
Desserts
*************
Stars and Stripes Cookie Cake
If there ever was a perfect time for this delicious thing, tomorrow is the day! I will never stop recommending this one because it’s just. that. good.
Neapolitan Cupcakes with Ice Cream Frosting
I’ve said this before, but I say to try skipping the chocolate layer and just dye it blue to make a festive red, white, and blue cupcake!
The Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Because, sometimes, it’s just WAY easier to cook a whole batch of bars at once, as opposed to scooping and baking trays of cookies, right?
And last, but certainly not least, I must recommend Kristin’s Best Ever Sangria as well as this Sunset Sangria, because they’re both amazing and I just loooove me some sangria.
To all of my friends here in the states, I hope you all have a safe and fabulous 4th!

I’m a long time reader who recently relocated to the Boston area. We are planning to go to GWL Fitchburg sometime this coming year with our 5 and 3 year olds! It would be so cool to meet you in person š
