Sooo, in short, I’ve been a pretty boring blogger this weekend!
Sorry guys!
I’ve really had no fun or interesting meals, and have been very lazy when it comes to the camera. For example, last night Jay and I headed out to our friend Josh’s 30th Birthday Party, and the only picture I took was of my food.
I guess you could say it was definitely one of those “you know you’re a food blogger when…” moments. Hey, it happens…but even though I don’t have pictures to prove it, we definitely had a blast last night!

This morning, I woke up feeling a little lazy and even debated skipping a workout all together. However, I knew the pros totally outweighed the cons, so I sucked it up, changed into my workout gear and got to work.
Unfortunately, I missed my Sunday morning BodyPump class (BOO), so I had to go with Plan B. After yesterday’s run, I started experiencing a little hip pain that tends to come and go for me, so I nixed the treadmill in favor of Jillian Michael’s No More Trouble Zones off of Exercise on Demand.
This 50-minute workout is no joke! It consists of,
- 5 Min – Warm Up – light cardio and dynamic stretching
- 40 Min – Trouble Zone Circuit: Broken into 7, 6-minute circuits, targeting shoulders, chest, arms, abs, back, legs, hips, and glutes.
- 5 Min – Cool Down
I felt GREAT after finishing this video up! I had thought I’ve tried this one out before, but there were parts that definitely seemed new. Perhaps I’m losing it?

Now I’m sipping on a mug of coffee,
and about to go get ready to meet up with Jen for a brunch date at my favorite Flavour Café. Last week, I bought a couple Groupons for here and they’ve been burnin’ a hole in pocket!

Ohhh yes, and just to fill everyone in on what I was really talking about yesterday…
My best friend, Heather, is going to be a mommy!!! AHHH!
As soon as we arrived yesterday, she greeted me with pictures of her latest sonogram and I nearly jumped out of my seat. I definitely made a bit of a fool of myself by screaming a few “Oh my god’s!” and “Ahhh, I’m so happy for youuuuu’s!” in the middle of the bustling Starbucks.
I honestly couldn’t be happier for her and her husband and wish them the absolute best. Congratulations you two!!! Now perhaps you now what I mean when I said, I just can’t get over how much times are a-changin’!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!
Question for the Day:
Do you like taking advantage of special coupons and deals online? If so, what are your favorites?
Congrats to your friend, that is so awesome! I’m the same way when I hear someone I am close to is pregnant, babies are fabulous. It’s ok you didn’t break out the camera, as long as you have fun. Sometimes you just need a break, right? Hope you have fun at brunch!
haha no worries! I understand the boring blogs… sometimes I get a little lazy too!!! Anyways I love coupons!! I always look in the magazines we get in the mail to find coupons for restaurants and such!
I read “going to be a mommy” really quick and thought YOU were going to be one! Regardless, congrats :)
HAHAHA! Yikes! :)
I am going to have to try no trouble zones!
I love groupon, bloomspot, living social, buy with me! they all rock and are addictive!
Congrats heather!!!
I love Groupon and use it all the time! And I took advantage of the coupon code you provided to iherb.com yesterday to score some dried papaya and a case of Cashew Cookie Larabars. :)
Congrats to Heather, that’s so exciting!! I absolutely love Groupon and Living Social for coupons. I stalk the sites every day!!
I have that DVD but haven’t tried it yet. Now I’m scared to haha
That video is a killer!
I love Groupon & Living Social! I usually only buy them for places I would go anyway, or if they’re to a place I’ve been wanting to try. I always always always do coupon codes/free shipping codes whenever I buy anything online. Retailmenot.com has some great ones!
When will you have kids???
Haha, someday! But not yet…we’re taking time to just enjoy being young and married. :)
I love “party food.” I went to a birthday party this weekend, too. So much fun.
And yes, I love coupons and online deals! My favorites are usually printable coupons of things that I buy or free coupons for new things I want to try.
I LOVE that DVD! It’s the best at targeting, well, everything! And yes, I love Groupon and Living Social deals – great ways to explore new things in your city!
Hi there! I clicked over from Heather/ Where’s the Beach to see your blog. I definitely have a sweet tooth too :)
I think Jillian workouts are funny- it never seems like any one move is that hard, but when I’m done I always feel like I got my butt kicked. Tricky!
Cheers!

One of my best friends is pregnant right now too! It’s kind of surreal :)
I have No More Trouble Zones. It’s definitely a work out! I haven’t done it lately, but probably should! I used a lot as cross training when I was marathon training, and it seemed to work well. After a bunch of viewings Jillian started to really annoy me, but the workout really is great!
