I’ve gotta tell ya…I’m really having some fun with this return of the fashion aspect here on the blog! I’m so glad so many of you made the request for it to come back…partially because it’ll occasionally make me question by outfit decisions in the morning in an effort to not look too frumpy. Not that it always works, but it helps.
So let’s get right to it, starting with some outfits featuring one of my current obsessions: Flannel/Plaid!
Here’s a weekend look…
- Top: Plaid Flannel Boyfriend Shirt via Old Navy
- Leggings: LoveSurf Explore Legging (they are GREAT!)
- Scarf: American Eagle (super old) but this scarf from Target is similar
- Boots: Bear Traps via Macy’s (from a few years ago, but the Kyletta is similar)
And this one was both a dress-down Friday and weekend look…
- Top: Mossimo Supply Co. Flannel Shirt via Target
- Jeans: Gap Outlet (clearance rack)
- Boots: ShoeMint
And here’s a random mix of some recent work week choices (FYI: my job is very casual when it comes to attire)
- Top: via Stitch Fix (not sure of brand at the moment, it’s in the wash!)
- Pants: Kut From The Kloth Danny 5-Pocket Knit Pant via Stitch Fix
- Pumps: Can’t remember the brand but they came from Bocov’s!
This particular outfit was craaaazy comfy and Lucas seemed to really dig it, too.
- Sweater: Women’s Marled Crew-Neck Sweater via Old Navy
- Leggings: LoveSurf Explore Legging
- Boots: Kaylor Slouchy boots via Target
- Scarf: Jersey Infinity Scarf via Old Navy
Can you tell I like scarves?
- Sweater: Textured Sweater via Old Navy
- Jeans: Just Black via Stitch Fix
- Boots: Bear Traps via Macy’s (from a few years ago, but the Kyletta is similar)
- Infinity Scarf: Boscov’s (last year, I believe)
Ahhh…and then I got a haircut! This is another workday outfit, on a day where I felt like looking a little more on the dressy side.
- Top: Old Navy (last year)
- Pants: Sloan Ankle Pant via Banana Republic Outlet (similar and similar via Banana)
- Pumps: Macy’s (soooo old)
And finally, let’s wrap today’s post up with the latest Stitch Fix delivery I received last week. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve already seen this pic below…
I went seeking some of your thoughts on which of these should be keepers because I was sort of on the fence with just about all of them. Also included in this fix was a black cowl neck dress that was alright but got sent back (too much $$ for the quality). As for the rest:
- Grey bomber jacket: Looked cute if I stood the right way, but most of the time it just hung there and looked super boxy. Returned
- 3/4 cowl neck top: Fit was okay, but I just couldn’t get on board with the neck. It never seemed to look right and I was constantly picking at it. Returned
- Striped sweater: No. Just, no. The material was super thin, the cost was $58, the stripes were just not flattering, and the colors weren’t my favorite. Returned
- Infinity scarf: I liked this one. Didn’t love it, but liked it enough to keep it, partially because I didn’t want to lose out on my $20 styling fee. Kept it.
Overall, I was super disappointed with this fix; especially since I had left some specific requests for my stylist before it was delivered (I wanted a chambray shirt and a flannel top). I’ve decided to skip my November fix and will possibly try it back up again in December, so we’ll see what happens with that one!
So what kind of fashion trends have you guys been diggin’ lately??
