Well, hello there. I’ll bet I can guess why many of you are here reading this post this afternoon!
You’re most likely wondering whether or not you are the big winner of my Champion Workout Gear Giveaway. Now if that is the case, then of course, you are more than welcome to quickly scroll down to the bottom to find out, BUT, I will say this…
There might be some rather important info meshed into the middle of this post that you mayyyy be interested in. Quite possibly, there could be more goodies up for grabs. Then again, I could totally be lying and trying to trick you into reading my whole post. SO, I guess you’ll just have to wait and find out…or not.
Mwaahahaha.
Workout
Today’s workout was killERRRR! I actually was *this close* to bailing and calling it a rest day, since my neck is still bothering me a bit, but I decided to go for it anyways because I needed to move.
Do you guys remember on Saturday when I told you that I ended up trying the 10lb. Slimdown Xtreme Total Body video? Well first of all, what I didn’t tell you is that that video had me sore until Wednesday. Almost four full days of soreness post-workout. I loved it. I’m nuts.
So this morning, when I went back and checked my Exercise on Demand channel, I noticed that they now have ALL of the videos from the new DVD series available to watch. I was so pumped that I ended up trying not one, but two of them:
- 10lb. Slimdown Xtreme Kickboxing (40 mins)
- 10lb. Slimdown Xtreme Abs (10 mins)
Both of these workouts were amazing. The kickboxing reminded me a lot of the BodyCombat class I enjoy, but I might like this one even better?!? The abs video made my mid-section scream for mercy…especially after already having done the kickboxing. And I loved every minute of it. Am I crazy?

Post-workout, I put together the other little surprise that I teased you about above in this post. If you want to know what I’m talking about, then be sure to head on over to the Sweet Tooth, Sweet Life Facebook Page to check it out. It’s pretty awesome!
Post-workout and surprise, I also threw together a lunch of leftovers. Man, I love when I can just throw a bunch of stuff in a bowl and call it a meal.
Included in the bowl was some leftover shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and some rice, corn, and chicken from last night. I gave it a drizzle of roasted red pepper dressing which made for a pretty fantastic meal.
Since lunch, I’ve also snacked on two of my favorite snacks: a honey graham Clif Z Bar and a 100-Calorie bag of kettle corn. YUM!
Giveaway Winner
Alright, if you’ve read up to this point, then you’re awesome. I ended up being a lot wordier than I intended today. Woops.

Here’s our Lucky Winner:
Congratulations, Kim! Please email me at sweettoothcourtney[@]gmail[.]com ASAP so I get some information from you.
(Btw, if any of you ended up leaving me any sort of question in the comments section of that post, I didn’t answer it because I didn’t want to mess up the entry numbers. Feel free to ask again if needed!)
Alright ladies and gents, it’s study time…and then it’s Friday time!!
Question for the Afternoon:
What’s good for the weekend??
That looks like an awesome leftover bowl! I’ve gotta admit, I’m pretty jealous..
16 mile run!! yikes! :)
thanks for doing another give away doll. hope you have a wonderful weekend <33
that salad looks great! hopefully part of my weekend will be making delicious meals at home that i can’t make yet in my temp living situation during the week.
also, a 7-8 mile run!
Here in st louis they have a Balloon glow. This is where they have hot air balloons and all light up (usually around7 pm) there is also a ton of kids activities. And then tomorrow they have a race. its pretty fun and my familiy has been going for years. Now if I could just get rid of this cold!
We went to a glow last summer. It was amazing! It was only five balloons though, is the one in St Louis really big? I guess there’s a major festival in Albequerque – but who wants to go there? ;) Have fun!
oh yea it is huge! They were expecting 130,000 people! I just posted a video and pictures if you wanted to see!

I have a fun bar night planned with some friends. It has been much too long since we’ve all gone out!
I just found out I have Excercise TV on demand too and would love to try the 10lb slimdown! What equipment do you need to complete the work out?
For the ones I did today, I didn’t need any equipment! When I did the Total Body video on Saturday, I used a pair of 5lb and 10lb dumbbells and a chair.
I looove Chris Fretag! She has this no-nonsense attitude that I love about her. I’ll have to try those workouts you did, sounds like a blast! And I love working out in my home…driving to and fro from the gym really takes up a lot of extra time!
Haha great job on keeping people from scrolling down to the bottom… it worked on me! :)
I recently tried Cliff Z bars for the first time having seen them on your blog. They are mmm mmm good.
Oh and forgot to comment but those Munchkins looked so delicious this morning. Drinking a pumpkin coffee from DD right now!
how do you like the kickboxing video?? I really want to get some cardio videos but our house is pretty small…would I need TONS of room?? I can do yoga in the living room but maybe not tons of round house kicks hehe
I LOVE it!! I have a fairly small space to workout in in my living room, and I had no problem with that video. Haha, there aren’t too many big kicks, so I think you’d probably be fine :)
So sad I didn’t win haha. Your lunch looks awesome…and just so you know, I always read all of a post :D. I’m in the process of switching over to my self-hosted site now…and getting a new blog look, yay!
I saw “Kim” and got excited! I’ve never won anything LOL. Oh well, “other Kim” enjoy your new gear :)
That salad looks great! And I love your little surprise.
Ohhh I need to see if that’s on my On Demand Videos!!!
I love how you give us updates on your favorite workouts – it’s great that you keep it fresh and new – that’s the way to make exercise fun!
Oh I really want to try out those DVD’s – I have “on demand” too, so I think I might do just that on Sunday!
What’s good this weekend? My sister had her baby today! I just posted some pictures – she is beautiful.
So glad I stopped by your blog before heading to the gym tonight! Istead I headed to the living room and did both the kickboxing and the ad workout! So fun! I agree it is like body combat but better( less strange karate moves)! Great recommendation!
I would love the v-neck tank because it adds a great color pop to boring workout gear and the size is perfect :)
Those are always some of the best meals, random things in a bowl! Definitely easy and yummy. I love being sore but I actually don’t like being SO sore for more than a day because I want to get back to my normal workout!
Hope your neck is feeling better, girlie!
I’ve been doing the 10lb Xtreme Slimdown workouts on my On Demand since I saw you try them out and I LOVE them! I did the Total Body one first and just like you, I was sore for at least 3 days! I did the core one as well and definitely felt like I got an awesome ab workout. Kickboxing is next on my radar!
I love seeing what you are eating – it gives me some great ideas to try, especially for lunches when it is just me eating (as opposed to the whole family). Keep sharing that food, as I’m sure I am not the only one absorbing your ideas. :)
