Recovering from the Stomach Bug & Fabletics Favorites

By Courtney 25 Comments

Oh man, guys. It’s been quite. a. week.

With Lucas being sick over the weekend, we’re now wondering if maybe he did have something stomach related because I got hit with the stomach bug Monday night. WOW. It has been a long time since something really knocked me on my rear like that, but I was completely down for the count. Thank goodness I have a husband who can step in and handle everything while I was holed up in our bedroom/bathroom. And thank goodness I had a cuddle buddy checking in on me all day.

cody

Yeah, stomach bugs are no joke. I finally started feeling a bit more human yesterday and managed to keep down a couple of pieces of toast. Other than that, I’ve been sipping on a lot of water, lemon-lime Gatorade, and ginger ale.

Unfortunately, one of the bigger bummers of this whole thing is that the last food I ate before getting sick was this AMAZING chili and skillet cornbread (I made it Sunday but we had leftovers again on Monday)…

chili and cornbread

Now? I can’t even look at either of them. And of all things! Cornbread?! Let’s hope that mental roadblock passes quickly, because a life without cornbread is not a life I want to live. Winking smile

skillet cornbread

But really, I’ve got to get you guys that chili recipe ASAP. Just as soon as I can stand to look at it again. Because it was soooo. freakin. good.

So switching gears a bit, I figured today would be as good a day as any to share some of my latest Fabletics pieces that I got and am totally loving. I know I mentioned last month that I was digging them, but I never really shared any of my goods!

Most recently, I purchased the Kingston Pullover in cranberry and I seriously just. love. it.

IMG_9358IMG_9359

Please ignore the no makeup and messy hair look – it was a work from home, still recovering from the stomach bug day.

I also FINALLY caved on the puffer vest look and got their Fenway Vest in dark grey, and I’m so glad that I did! I love how it’s semi-fitted, as not to make me look to much like a big grey marshmallow.

IMG_9361IMG_9362

Last month, I was also generously gifted a couple of pieces from Fabletics, including their Salar Legging in charcoal and the Astoria Shrug in black (Thank you, Fabletics!!). Let me just tell you guys…I am absolutely ob-sessed with both of these pieces. I would have shown you the shrug on, but I wore it recently and it’s in the wash…oops.

IMG_9367astoria

But the leggings are great and have been worn both for a workout and with a casual outfit. Very versatile!

And finally, there are two other pieces that I purchased back in October (I know, I can’t believe we haven’t talked about this yet?!). The first is the Salar Capri Fold-Over which I just loooooove. The fit is so cozy, and I love how thick the fold-over fabric is.

IMG_9369-001IMG_9370

Also please notice Lucas in these pics. He had me cracking up as he ran around me in circles, through my legs, and back and forth between the sides of the bed. Yes, my plan was that he would still be napping while I did this but, well, we obviously can’t always plan for that.

But anywho…so the last piece I have to share is the Fremont Tank which I got in mulberry.

IMG_9373IMG_9374IMG_9376

I like this tank and the fabric is very comfy, but I was a little disappointed when I noticed that the removable cups that come in the bra top were permanently indented, and I missed the 30 days to exchange it, but that’s on me. Other than that, I have had nothing but positive experiences with Fabletics and their apparel. It is so freakin’ cute AND comfortable, to boot. If you guys haven’t tried them out yet, I’d highly recommend them!

Alright my friends, I’m signing off for today. Hope you’re all having a great week! It’s alllmoooooost Friday. Winking smile

Ugh. Being sick sucks. Especially when you can't look at your favorite foods. I got food poisoning last Easter from a church potluck breakfast, and for lunch that day, my family went to Olive Garden, where I got the baked ziti, and once the food poisoning of the morning meal set in, I can't even look at ziti anymore, which breaks my heart. I LOVED ziti! (I know it was church because along with my dad and I, several other members of church got sick, too). But kitties are the best nurses. My cat didn't leave my side when I was sick. Love her!

Awww, Lucas loves his mommy. :) Feel better soon! I'm jealous, not of the sick, but that your hubby can swoop in and handle stuff. Ugh... something my man has definitely gotta work on now that I'm catching all of Ethan's winter bugs! Have a great weekend!

Cute gear! Should prob get to trying it out for myself! Glad you're feeling better. I'm battling a bit of a stomach bug myself since yesterday. Praying that it doesn't spread to my boys too!

Okay, can you give me the details on how Fabletics works? I am considering trying it but want to know the ins and outs of how it works. It seems confusing. LOL

Hey Amanda! Haha, of course! You can sign up for Fabletics and just purchase things whenever you want, as you would a regular store. But they also have a VIP club that you can sign up for, which provides you items at a deeper discounted price. If you sign up for the VIP membership, the one thing to make note of is that you will charged each month UNLESS you choose to skip a month. This is what I do...I signed up for the VIP to get the discounts, but between the 1-5th of the month is when you have the option to skip. If you forget to skip, you do still get charged, but they email you during that time to remind you. Does that help? Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear you were so sick. Stomach bugs are THE worst. Glad you're feeling better now... Hope it continues and you get your normal appetite back! Yup, you know I love Fabletics! It's basically all I wear these days. ;) The Salar Leggings are my favorite. I've been eyeing that Kingston hoodie. It looks SO comfy! I love that color you got too - it's pretty on you!

Oh man, I hope you feel all the way better soon! That's rough. I haven't had a stomach bug in years, but I can still remember the last meal I ate before one, and I've never eaten in again. :(

Stomach bugs are the absolute worst, I hope you're feeling better!! I'm the same way, every time I get stomach bugs I always go off the food that I last ate. I still struggle to eat fish and chips a year later, it just reminds me of being sick and I can't stand to eat it! The Fabletics look really comfy and I really like the colour of that tank top :)

Oh no! I hope you are feeling better. I had a mini stomach bug last week and it was awful. Anti-nausea meds help a lot for future reference. You can get them from your doc!
