Ridiculously Good

By Courtney 40 Comments

Howdy, howdy! Happy Saturday!

Did everyone have an awesome Friday night? I know we sure did…partially, thanks to this delicious meal.

IMG_9744

Both Jay and I had some things to do after work yesterday, but we planned ahead to have him pick up some dinner for us on his way home. Our timing worked out pretty perfectly, both getting in around the same time, so we dug right into our sandwiches.

These lovely things came courtesy of Terry’s Kitchen, a big time favorite of ours. I ordered the Capri Primavera sandwich, once again, with some of their balsamic mayo on the side. Deeeeeelish.

IMG_9746

Jay also picked up some of their macaroni salad, per my request. Winking smile

IMG_9747

I just can’t help it…the stuff is ridiculously good.

Yesterday I also came home to a very fun shipment from my friends at Chobani.

The new banana and pear flavors! Woooo Hoooo!

Of course, I had to try one ASAP, so I tried out the banana flavor in this morning’s yogurt bowl breakfast.

IMG_9749

Now I’m gonna be honest with you guys…typically, banana flavored things are NOT my thing. I love bananas, but the flavor of banana usually grosses me out. So I figured hey, if I try it at home and don’t like it, I’ll just go for another one. BUT…

The banana flavor is SOOOOO good!

IMG_9750

I paired it with some strawberries, raspberries, and cereal (Special K, I think?) and I was good to go.

Speaking of good to go…I’ve got to get goin’! I have a mani/pedi date with my gal Kelsey this morning. Smile

Too funny, I JUST saw both the pear and banana Chobani's at the store yesterday and got all excited. I usually don't like banana either, so I got the pear. Have yet to try it. Happy Saturday!

I feel the same exact way with banana flavored things, so I was a little hesitant with the banana Chobani too. Like you, I loved it though!!! It didn't taste artificial at all which is why it sold me I think.

Please let us know how the pear is also! I have been loving the champagne pear dressing from TJ and pears in general, so I'm definitely interested to see how it it :-)

I agree with you on the fake banana flavoring, I hate it! Loved Chobani's new banana... I actually think I liked it more than the pear. Hope you have a good weekend! p.s. banana Chobani is great in banana oatmeal choc chip cookies :) Cookies freeze well so you could store them while your on vacation too!

I loved the pear flavor, but I actually wasn't a huge banana fan. I like bananas but I felt like I could barely taste the flavor! Haha I wanted MORE banana!

It's funny - I love bananas (one of my favorite fruits), but I'm like you and am not a huge banana-flavor fan. If these get your stamp of approval, though, I think I may need to try 'em out :)

That sandwich looks awesome! Deli style sandwiches are definitely something that I've been missing and I had a huge craving for a turkey sandwich from Panera the other day- I guess it will just have to wait a few more months! ;) I need a mani/pedi in a bad way but I always feel like I should save it for a special occasion and yet one never seems to come up. I guess I should just go for it!

I usually shy away from banana flavored things too, so I have tried some of Chobani's other flavors, but not this one yet. I'm glad to hear that is gets the approval from another banana skeptic! P.S. your sandwich looks killer!

The new Cho flavors are huge hits in our house - the pear is tasty [but reminds me a bit of the apple cinnamon, not a bad thing since I like that one too, just nothing too new] and the banana is fabulous! But really, I cannot stop eating the Cho Bites [especially the coffee chocolate chip] - YUM!
