Rocking My World

By Courtney 46 Comments

Alright…is anyone else totally exhausted this morning after staying up to watch the three hour season finale of The Bachelor? I told myself I only going to watch until 10pm, but then I totally got roped in to watching after the rose show and was up past 11pm. I’m getting old…

I won’t say anything about the episode, since I’m sure there are plenty of you smarties out there who recorded it and actually got some sleep last night. But I will say that both the “break up” and the proposal totally had me teary. And after seeing Sean with his final pick, it seems like the definitely made the right choice for himself. Hey, best of luck to the TV romance couple!

*****

So I’ve got to share a couple of yummy snacks with you guys from yesterday because, well, they were yummy. The first one being these delicious little guys…

IMG_1593

After seeing them around for so long, last week I finally got in contact with Lindsay and ordered a dozen of her Healthy Bites. If you check out her site (in the link!) you’ll see that she has quite a few awesome sounding flavors, and since I couldn’t decide on just one, she recommended me ordering a sampler pack with all of the flavors…including apple/apricot cinnamon, muddy mocha buddies, goodie bites, recovery bites, and this month’s special, key lime bites(!).

So far I’ve tried almost all of them and I can honestly say that they are all incredibly delicious. Well done, Lindsay. Well done!

Another favorite snack as of late? I know I mentioned this to you guys last week, but they’re still rocking my world…

IMG_1594

Fun fact: I bought these while grocery shopping over the weekend and wound up getting hungry while I shopped so I opened up the box right in the middle of the store and ate a pack while waiting in line to check out. I have no shame, my friends. I’m still on the lookout for these so-called yogurt covered fruit snacks that some of you speak of…I MUST find these!

*****

Last Night’s Dinner

Thanks to Sunday’s prep-work, last night’s dinner was only a quick microwave heat-up away.

beef stew and bread

You guys like how we still have yet to throw away the pink plastic tablecloth from the weekend? ;)

We each had ourselves a big bowl of my favorite Burgundy Beef Stew (I actually halved the recipe this time) along with a couple slices of leftover Italian bread.

beef stew

Apparently, I’m all about the red meat lately – meatballs Sunday, beef stew yesterday, and more plans for red meat during the week. Hey, I guess Baby Tooth wants his fill right now?! Speaking of the little one…

*UPDATES!*

  • The Baby Tooth page was updated this morning!
  • The Baby Tooth page was ALSO updated last night, and is sporting a brand new header! Check it out…and feel free to enter the giveaway while you’re there!
  • And I’ve also gotta give a quick HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout out to both my friends Joey and Andrea, who are celebrating birthdays today!

Question for the Morning:

What’s one food rocking your world these days?

I love the baby belly pic with the fruit snacks...you are too cute! There is no shame in having a snack at the grocery store! Hmm, what's been rockin' my world lately? Probably peanut butter. Surprise, surprise!

Definitely coconut! I don't know what it is about it, but I've been putting it in everything lately-on yogurt, with peanut butter and a banana, even in smoothies. Guess I'm just feelin' tropical!

Aww, what a cute prego belly!! ;) I am loving your yellow polka dot shirt, too! It is so sunshiney and cheerful :). And yes, I was one of those who stayed up for the 3 hours for the Bachelor finale. Sometimes I wish they would just shorten it up a bit and make it 2 hours. Three hours seems a bit excessive!

I've totally bought snacks before at a grocery store and eaten them in the store. Same with water. Sometimes you're just hungry and you can't wait! Starburst jelly beans are in my life these days. I can't get enough of them.

I loved eating meat when I was pregnant! With my first son, I absolutely craved juicy, red steaks and mashed potatoes. I made sure we had that for dinner every week...my husband loved it! With my second son, I craved buffalo chicken subs, but didn't eat them as much as I wanted because I had horrible heartburn the second half of the pregnancy. Oh and don't believe the old wive's tale about heartburn meaning the baby has a lot of hair. I had ZERO heartburn with baby one and he had a full head of hair (he even had a faux hawk when he was born). Baby two was practicallty bald and my heartburn was so bad, I had to have Tums with me at all times.

I have been rocking spinach lately... kinda lame I know but I put on paninis, wraps, in salads. I can't get enough! On second thought it might be the TJ salad dressings I can't get enough of because those usually follow the spinach!

One food that is rocking my world lately is home-made mac&cheese. My boyfriend's mom made it for me last week & I am eating up all the leftovers lately! Sooooo good. I don't watch the Bachelor, but a 3 hour finale, that's crazzzzy!

I've actually gotten a little better at staying up later over the past couple of months, but back in the day I was basically dead on my feet by 9:30. I guess that's just what comes with waking up at 5 or 6 :D As for food that's been rocking my world - definitely bananas. I've always loved them, but lately I've been eating 2 or 3 a day and it doesn't look like it'll be letting up any time soon!

That is so funny, at my 20 weeks appnt 2 weeks ago, I found out my girl was 12 ounces and was so worried, like is she going to be normal?! My doctor laughed in my face and said to stop reading books and going on the internet. She said it's all nonsense at this stage, they are all different. Worry never stops though and I suppose it never will!
