Hello, hello! How are you all doing so far this week? Good? Great?!
Since I already had yesterday’s post scheduled to go live, I didn’t really get a chance to update you all on the weekend. So I figured I’d go ahead and do that today, since I’m sure you’re all waiting on the edge of your seat for it.
Where is that sarcasm font when you need it?
Date night on Friday night for Jay’s company party! I wore my same Target dress as I did for my company party, but paired it with knee high boots and a scarf.
Jay took full advantage of his built in designated driver and may or may not have been drinking out of the award he and his team are holding there. I missed being able to just drink the good stuff out of a regular glass.
Sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches are always a delicious breakfast option. Even better when they’re made by someone other than yourself (amiright?!).
Our bedroom and Lucas’s bedroom both have all sorts of paint samples on the wall currently. Good news is that I think we have our colors narrowed down to just one or two per room, so we’re getting somewhere!
Saturday was a lazy day for all of us, and we all stayed home in our PJ’s or cozies all day. Oh, and Lucas is still keeping us on our toes for where he decides he wants to nap these days.
One of Lucas’s favorite things to ask (usually right when I’m about to do something else/leave the room/start cooking dinner/etc.) is “Mommy, snuggle couch?!” Usually I’ll come back and he’ll sit with me for about two seconds, but this weekend, he gave me some extra snuggles which I adored.
We rounded out a chill Saturday with a quiet night on the couch and some popcorn (not usually a big craving of mine, but had to have some). Cody is obsessed with popcorn, and came running up to the couch as soon as I opened the bag.
We break off little pieces with no kernels and he goes to towwwwwn on them. Seriously, since when do cats like…popcorn?
Sunday morning, I met up with a bunch of our girlfriends for a “style party” at the LOFT. My friend Christina won it, so we were all invited in and got an additional 20% off on top of their current sales!
Girfriends + shopping + extra discounts + mimosas + baked goods? Best. morning. ever.
My selections are fairly limited currently, with the growing bump and all, but I did score a cozy grey shirt off the clearance rack for about $10, along with this cardigan and the necklace shown (which I can’t seem to find on their website anywhere?!).
Sunday afternoon, we headed over to the open house at Lucas’s soon-to-be preschool come the fall.
The place was packed, and Lucas had a blast checking out all of the new toys and sliding down the big slide you see back there.
Turns out, preschool is tiring! Enough so have him actually nap on his “floor bed” (aka, the only place he still sleeps at night).
We tried a new dinner on Sunday night – Cheesy Skillet Gnocchi + some big side salads. The gnocchi dish was good, but a little too salty…we’d definitely cut that way down next time if we made it again.
And that’s a wrap of our weekend!
How about you guys? How many of you were snowed in?? I’ll be honest…I’m super glad it missed us! :)
